My name is Dima, and I live with my brothers Rayan and Fares in Gaza. We used to have a small home filled with memories and simple laughter. But today… that home is gone.

Our house was completely destroyed by bombing. We lost everything—our clothes, our toys, our books… even our warm beds. Now, we are living in a worn-out tent that doesn't protect us from the scorching heat of summer or the cold nights.

We are suffering from hunger. There is not enough food, and clean water is hard to find. Sometimes, we go to sleep hungry, and our mother cries quietly because she cannot feed us.

We desperately need your help.

i feel like we don’t talk about things like this enough

like, okay, consent does literally just mean agree. which is what enables this little rhetorical trick. because there's all this cultural emphasis on sexual consent, which is just expressed as consent, a lot of phrases whose intended meanings are "rape is bad" can be taken literally to mean "i should get to agree to everything that happens in my vicinity."
