kate  didn't  know  what  even  happened  with  hope.  thinking  of  ways  how  she  could've  been  there  to  fix  it.  but  it  was  too  late.  the  tears  wouldn't  stop  spilling  as  the  one  woman  who  filled  in  her  mother's  shoes  now  laid  on  the  hospital  bed.  only  now  sitting  up  when  hope  woke  up,  "you  can't..  you  can't  do  that  again."

"no,  no!  you're  not  doing  this  alone,  alright?!  let  me  help!"  kate  practically  pleaded  as  she  already  had  her  bow  and  arrow  at  hand  as  she  looked  at  the  other  desperately,  "i  can't  live  with  myself  if  you  end  up  getting  hurt  and  i  wasn't  there  to  help!  so  please,  let  me  go  with  you!"

with  my  classes  piling  up  and  this  being  my  last  month  of  school,  hoping  to  graduate  in  june,  my  activity  will  be  incredibly  spotty.  i  will  respond  to  some  things  here  and  there,  but  i  will  mostly  be  active  on  the  weekend.  but  with  commissions  waiting  on  @lumiiicreates,  that  will  be  a  priority  so  everything  will  be  spotty.  then  june  will  be  more  so  about  family  time  so  realistically,  i'll  be  hella  active  by  july.

"i-"  kate  started  as  she  looked  around  as  she  stood  next  to  malee.  an  anxious  expression  on  her  features  as  she  gripped  her  bow  tight.  "i  don't  think  we're  safe  at  the  moment.."

dating  wasn't  something  kate  usually  does.  especially  now  that  she's  part  of  the  young  avengers.  there  wasn't  any  time.  so  to  stumble  accidentally  upon  this?  she  had  no  idea  what  she  was  doing.  but  she  felt  the  bubbly  feeling  of  happiness  in  her  stomach.  something  she  has  never  really  felt  in  like...ever.  "cool  cool,  yeah,  this  means  more  pizza  nights-"  before  she  could  even  ramble,  his  lips  were  on  hers.  cheeks  flushed  into  red  as  she  returned  this  kiss  and  mumbled,  "and  this  too."

He was still close to her, his hands still cupping her face. While he waited for her answer, patiently listening to her rambling, his thumb softly caressed her cheek. He rose a brow, grinning a little bit. "I know you didn't..." he slowly said. "But you never said you wanted me to stay either... so it was up to me assuming what you may think." he said, his eyes still locked with hers. "But you wish is my command, milady." he said, the grin still glued to his lips. "I will stay with you."

Without giving it another thought, he just leaned closer to kiss her again. He needed to feel her lips again.

"would  you  believe  me  if  i  said  i  crashed  into  a  wall?"  she  attempted  with  a  nervous  laugh.  not  really  wanting  allison  to  go  into  a  panic.

"just  got  into  it  with  the  tracksuit  mafia."  kate  muttered  as  she  looked  at  the  other  with  a  small  smile.  normal  nemesis  that  she  now  has.  everything  clearly  aching,  "just  another  tuesday."

apparently,  she  wasn't  sneaky  as  she  thought  the  moment  scarlett  caught  her.  clearing  her  throat,  she  looked  up  and  mumbled,  "it's  nothing.  i'm  okay.  just  a  few  scratches..."

"i-"  okay,  so  kate  didn't  have  powers.  out  of  all  the  young  avengers,  all  she  had  was  trick  arrows.  but  that  didn't  stop  her,  "look,  i  started  this  mess,  let  me  fix  it!"

"Excuse me? I'm the one who has powers that can stop them." Luna reminds her quickly. "You go!"

"this  is  all  my  fault."  kate  muttered.  stress  evident  in  the  way  she  paced.  in  the  way  her  hands  trembled.  in  the  way  she  blinked  so  much  to  prevent  any  more  tears  from  spilling  down  her  cheeks.  "so  what's  your  plan  then?  how  can  we  save  my  mom?"

────── "you were trying to do the right thing" The blonde sighed, stepping in closer to her friend placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Yelena wasn't the hugging type most of the time, though now seemed like one of those moments where she'd likely let Kate hug her if she needed it. "We'll find her, without killing anyone, these people are predictable and they WANT you to go storming in there." @greatcstarcher

"daniel,  clint,  yelena..."  others.  kate  didn't  seem  to  wrap  her  head  around  it.  were  they  dating?  she  could've  sworn  they've  just  been  best  friends.  sure  they  would  occasionally  hold  hands.  sure  they  would  snuggle  on  the  couch.  sure  they  would  give  a  short  kiss-  ohmygod,  "sean,  i  think  we're  dating??"

❝ was it daniel? because he said the same thing to me. ❞ which confused him. because the last time he checked, they were just friends. two very awkward friends. ❝ we aren’t— you know, oblivious enough not to know if we were, right? ❞ but then maybe they were. because this wasn’t the first time they were told. and since both were hearing the same thing, maybe they missed something.
