“You.” Fukami’s response was almost immediate as he continued to stare down the false sorcerer. It was then that it clicked in Wadanohara’s brain just what was happening. Somehow, during that fight with Idate, the SQUIP became visible to more than just the orca. The question she had, was just how that was possible.
> The SQUIP slowly turned his head around to face Fukami. > He stayed still for a few moments, realizing what the hell was happening. > The man whirled around and speed walked out the door.
Wadanohara blinked in confusion before looking over at Fukami. "I'll...be right back." She spoke before going after him. He had to have known that he made himself visible to more than just Idate...right?

Wadanohara looked over at ‘Meikai’, then back at Fukami, then back at ‘Meikai’ before with a look on her face that could only be described as pure confusion. Fukami, however, continued to stare right at the SQUIP with a cross between fear and confusion on his face. There was no way this could be the Great Sorcerer. This…person glitched occasionally and was way more blue. Almost like a hologram.
“Who are you?” Fukami broke the awkward silence, the slightest hint of hostility in his voice as he moved closer to his witch.
> The SQUIP looked at Wadanohara, utterly confused. > “Who’s he talking to??” > His voice showed it too. Thats adorable.

By the time they got back to Wadanohara’s house, it was clear that Fukami had come back as there were smells of cooking coming from the front door. “Fukami! I’m home!” She yelled into the house, just loud enough so the octopus familiar could hear. Almost instinctively, she plopped herself down on the sofa, letting out a somewhat tired sigh.
The octopus familiar heard the sound of Wadanohara opening the door before he heard her announce that she was home. He let out a relieved sigh, as he had saw her bolt from the house earlier in the direction of the sea of stars, but he was unsure whether she was in danger or not. As expected, though, she made it home safe, and that’s all that mattered to him.
Until he went into the main room and saw…Meikai?
> ‘Meikai’ had started to let Wadanohara take the lead, and he spent a bit of time thinking to himself. > He followed her in through the door, and then noticed that Fukami was staring. > In his direction. > He stopped, looking back at him, curious about what the hell he was looking at. The octopus couldn’t see him after all. > The SQUIP failed to realize that he was, in fact, visible.

“I don’t need to do the spell yet, so I was thinking I could get it later!” She tried to respond with her normal cheerfulness, but there was something off about it. Clearly her mood had been ruined from the shock as well as the fight between Idate and ‘Meikai’. However, there was no way she was going to admit that out loud.
> The SQUIP raised an eyebrow, and then shook his head. > “Alright.” > He turned away from her and kept walking, not speaking, until they got back to the witch’s home.

She reluctantly followed him, forgetting about getting what she came there for in the first place. Wadanohara’s heart was now heavy. She thought that the SQUIP was going to be at least a little kind and that thought had now been betrayed. At this point, she had no idea what to feel about ‘Meikai’ and almost considered demanding that he change back into his first form despite the memories that he showed her.
> The man’s brow furrowed, and then he stopped. > He spun around to face her with a neutral expression. > “It seems that we have both failed to remember that you came here to get something. Do you still wish to gather it?” > He didn’t feel like it was worth the time or his energy to tell her off for the train of thought that she had been going down. If it became more of an issue, then he would.

Wadanohara winced at the shock, staring up at him in disbelief. The night before he had been so kind, what happened? “You didn’t think that before.” She muttered under her breath, barely audible to anyone who may have passed by, but ‘Meikai’ probably heard it just fine.
> “You don’t know that. I advise that we leave now.” > The SQUIP narrowed his eyes, and started to walk off, expecting the witch to follow him. > He shouldn’t have let himself get soft. He had a job to do, and feelings only get in the way.

Idate took this opportunity to do something he didn’t do often. Which was run away. He knew that as soon as ‘Meikai’ unfroze, if he were still in the area, that sword would be stabbed straight through him.
Wadda held tightly onto the staff as she approached ‘Meikai’, letting out a sigh. “I…couldn’t let you keep hurting him.” Her voice was somewhat shaky, as though she knew how angry the SQUIP was at her for doing that.
> He broke out of the spell, the weapon fading away into pixels. The SQUIP turned around to face her. > “You need to stop being so soft-hearted.” > His voice was cold. His expression looked even colder. > The man snapped his fingers, and sent a sharp shock through the witch. > Wadda didn’t know it, but his words were also directed towards himself.

Oh. Shit. Idate had to admit that he wasn’t expecting the bat to change into a completely different weapon and, when he saw it turn into a sword, he leaped as far back as he could to avoid the stab. He may have gotten lucky this time, sure, but if he stayed in this fight much longer he could become an orca kebab.
Luckily for him, the sea witch was aiming to stop that from happening. As much as she didn’t like the orca, Wadanohara didn’t want anyone dying because of her, even indirectly. Hell, she wouldn’t even wish for Sal to be permanently dead. Closing her eyes, she fired off the spell at ‘Meikai’, hoping for it to hit its mark.
> As he attempted to stab again, the spell hit him head-on. > He was frozen in place, still staring straight at Idate. It was kinda like time froze, except everything else was moving. > The SQUIP, fucking furious, started to push against the spell, glitching again while doing so. > ‘Goddamnit, Wadanohara.’

The static noise was definitely a pain in his ass, but it wasn’t a match for just how god damned weird it was seeing ‘Meikai’s face change into something else and back again. In fact, it caught him off guard enough that the bat made contact multiple times. Only after the first hit did he begin to back away, trying to cover his face in the process.
Wadanohara stayed where she was as she watched everything happen, her eyes still wide in surprise. The witch shook her head and ran towards the two, summoning her staff seemingly out of thin air and readying it for a stunning spell. As much as she didn’t want to, she had to stop ‘Meikai’ from flat-out killing the orca.
> As the orca moved backwards, the SQUIP advanced, still swinging. He seemed to be aiming for just Idate in general. The man payed no mind to the witch’s return, as all he focus was in swinging. > Swing, swing, shwing- > He seemed to have gotten bored of the bat. > Now it was a sword of some kind. Okay, I guess? He wasn’t playing around. > He thrusted forward with the sword, aiming for Idate’s torso.

Okay, what was that? Idate had seen a lot of shit during the multiple fights he’s both started and finished but…that has to be the strangest thing he’d seen. Oh well. He quickly kicked at ‘Meikai’s midsection. After all, he wasn’t about to let his guard down when this asshole had a bat.
Wadanohara’s eyes widened when she got close enough to see what had happened. Idate was a bloody mess, yeah, but….what was happening to the SQUIP?
WIP
> The static got louder in response to the kick. > The man stood straight after a few more moments. > The noise stopped. > His hands were back at his side, the bat loose in his grip. Pixels were drifting off of his slightly glitched face. It kept flickering between his default, and the face of the form he was currently in. > He didn’t say anything, staring unblinkingly at Idate. His face looked expressionless. > Then the SQUIP swung over and over again, nonstop, at the orca.

Oh son of a bitch that one hurt a lot. He quickly shook his head after the hit with the bat that…apparently had nails in it now? Whatever. The orca’s biggest concern was how in the hell that bastard didn’t feel anything. There had to be some way to make this idiot feel pain, right? Idate quickly aimed his fist at ‘Meikai’s face, trying to get him to feel any semblance of pain.
Wadanohara kept running. However, when she got home she realized that the house had been emptied. Of course, right now everyone was out doing their own thing and Wada noramlly would’ve been doing the same. The witch quickly turned back and headed towards the Sea of Stars once more. Sure she couldn’t actually hold her own in a fight against Idate, but she could at least hope to cast a spell to stop one between the orca and ‘Meikai’.
> 'Meikai’ stumbled back from the punch he’d just received, covering his face. Some faint crackling noise was coming from him. > He kept standing there, unresponsive, as if there wasn’t even a fight going on. The noise was a bit louder now, and it sounded more like static.

Okay he had to admit, that hurt like a bitch. However, Idate didn’t have time to focus on the pain as he quickly realized that the bat was quickly approaching the other side of his face. Luckily, he had been in multiple fights before, and he had just enough time to duck below it. “No, but you seem to think that I will.” Idate retorted, jabbing ‘Meikai’ in the gut.
Wadanohara turned and ran, hoping she could get home and tell Fukami before anything got overly bad. Then again, who was she kidding, the SQUIP was fighting Idate, there was no telling how it would turn out.
> He let out a grunt of pain, and it looked like he was actually feeling it. > ‘Meikai’ looked at Idate rather suddenly, a wide grin on his face. With sharp teeth. > “I forgot to mention!” > The orca was hit with a bat again. When did it have nails in it? Trick question. They’re there now. > “I DIDN’T FEEL THAT.”

Idate attempted to dodge the bat but it was just Too Fast. It made contact with the side that Wadanohara didn’t kick which, if he weren’t excited for a fight, would’ve made him double over in pain. He grinned wider, ducking to sweep the not-sorcerer’s legs from underneath him with a low kick.

Wadanohara backed away from the two, ready to book it in case things got ugly. Which, from the looks of it, it was about to get very ugly.
Oh, this was going to be fun. He smirked when he saw the bat, taking the cigarette from his mouth and extinguishing it under his heel. “If you really must know, I’m just an orca on a stroll.” Ah yes, his signature line that he used to get out of damn near everything. Though in this case, he was using it to get out of telling this idiot his name. He rolled up his sleeves in preparation for the fight against the not-sorcerer.
> ‘Meikai’ narrowed his eyes, not impressed at how chill the Orca was trying to seem. > “Eat shit.” > He swung the bat with inhuman speed. Jesus CHRIST, dude.

Wadanohara heard the voice in her head as soon as he spoke and, almost instinctively, she attempted to kick at the orca. Much to her surprise, it connected with his side. Her eyes widened when she realized that it actually worked.
However her surprise quickly turned to fear when Idate glared at her. “Oh, so the little witch finally has a brave bone in her body, huh? You gonna be up for a fight then?” His voice oozed hostility as he dropped her before throwing a punch at her gut. If it was  a fight she wanted then a fight she was going to get. Besides, to him it was funner when the prey fought back a little.
> Fuck this isn’t what he wanted. > Something in him snapped, and the witch could see him crackle and glitch for a moment. > The orca was suddenly punched in the face. > It wasn’t Wadanohara’s hand.
