The original Greed is my favorite Greed (and idk why)

Oh Yes of course you like the original one the most :)) after all, he's the reason why we choose to go deeper in the fandom in the first place. He has his original content which can not be replaced by any versions.It's not an explanation but I created lots of Greeds to fullfill my own desire for drawing huge variety of my favorite character. I appreciate your supports and your suggestions (if you have some) but if you don't like any of my versions, it's ok too. It's loving Greed that matters, isn't it?

This AU is based on Anime FMA 2003, where the Homunculi is actually dead people brought back to life. I don’t really enjoy this version ‘cause Greed died eventually in the middle of the serie and it annoyed me so much!!! 

Anw, when it came to think about his past, this is what I imagine:

His name is Jasper, Jasper Reed. What a foolish name. He tried so fucking hard to be “good enough” but noone cared. Jasper desired to earn acceptance to his efforts. Just being “good enough” was a fight because he was not good at anything AT ALL. It was a miracle that one day, he actually became a military officer. Still, noone cared. 

He met Dante eventually somewhere around the city. That was the first time he wanted something so strongly. He wanted that woman. 

“Well well, how do I call you?”

“J-Jasper!”

“I love you eyes’ color. It’s so beautiful.”

“Jasper, do you love me?”

“... Y-Yes”

“Jasper, do you want me?”

“...”

“ I want to experiment this, but I couldn’t do without you. Can you do this for me?”

“I can do whatever you want.”

“Can you die?”

She smiled gently. He cried. 

“If you need me that much, then yes.”

He woke up. He felt weird. Really weird. Someone came and gave him the stones. He asked for water to wash his face. He also asked about Dante, but they refused to answer.

He was left behind.

So @greedfma and I decided to do an art trade on the concept of Greed as a human and our takes on that! The one thing I especially loved about the original FMA versus Brotherhood was the concept of the homunculi being created as a result of trying to bring back a person and I always wondered who Greed was beforehand since we know about a few of the others such as Envy and Lust. Here’s my headcanon put shortly: Greed, or at the time, Garen Nicholas, was from a middle class family originally. His father worked at the local university where he eventually went. They were not incredibly rich but they were decently well off. He worked his way up after their deaths and earned his title as an aristocrat. He was afraid of death and age more than anything which his lover at the time, Dante, would take advantage of and offer him the opportunity of immortality. The disappearance of Garen Nicholas came without any notice and unbeknownst to everyone in that city Dante took his life and gave him a new existence. He died at the age of 27 and was reborn as the homunculus now known as Greed.

OMG I just find your tumblr randomly. And I'm love with what you're doing! Your art is amazing, the way you draw him is fabulous!! I'm stunned! I love Greed too. Don't mind which of him, it's the same soul after all ^-^. Please, keep doing this!! And, thank you to share your talents with us! :D

I realised why I love to draw child!Greed or chibi!Greed. It’s because I won’t have to mind about OOC though I still think Greed always cares for his surbordinates as long as his followers. However, in another way =))))
