on god this one is getting the general 'cookie run' maintag considering i spent an absurd amount of time doing the shading. not saying it wasn't fun, i'm just saying it took me an estimated 2 hours give or take. it's what i get for doing it all by hand. anything for aloe cookie though.

various concept sketches/art for a future project i want to do.

a clangen blog based on a lifegen run i did/am doing. i'm only 6 moons in currently (hence the lack of full warrior name for the main character, flax(kit)(paw). other characters shown here include some of the other members of the clan, and the 'authors' sona.

it needs a lot more planning... i've yet to nail down a solid medium nor a consistent style i'm happy with. the original idea was all writing, but i am a slow writer, and i'm not sure how feasible a story of this possible length would be to get out in a timely manner. i have been tossing around doing art embellishes, but i'm unsure what style i should do them in... the last one looks promising, but i like the idea of lineless. i've also thought of something more video-game themed a la how rippleclan or forestclan-clangen does it, just to make the process easier/faster for myself...

also the story needs a bit more broiling on the backburner. the main 'twist' is meta focused but i'm debating on whether the story should be straightforwardly leading into that or whether i should have a decoy 'main plot' that gets 'usurped' by the meta plot. leaning towards the latter because i like lying to people.

(fun fact: one of the earlier ideas for the meta plot was making the in-universe author write flax how erin hunter writes their canon warrior cats women [read: badly] because i think the angle of that from the characters themselves is an interesting topic to prod at. then i realized that the logical conclusion of that playing out in real time, without disclosing it being a narrative construct beforehand, is that people would just think i'm a for real actual misogynist and possibly run me out of the clangen sphere. not what i want to happen)

honest to god true. from the two-ish months i've been back it really seems to be the only thing people talk about, which is a real shame.

i personally don't even hate shmilk & pv that much (and i've even found a few people who's interpretations i really vibe with), but it's like.. why is it the only thing in the tag. they can't be that captivating, can they? where are all the freaks hyperfixated on a random side character and make up insane aus focused solely around them. where's the damn variety.

(old person voice) kids these days and their storymode main characters and yaoi. back in MY day (2019-2020) we picked a cookie at random and built our whole standing in the fandom around it. i must be the change i want to see in the world.

was five years sober of cookie run as a franchise until i saw greenbell cookie's story pop up in my recommended tab and clicked it out of curiosity. i then got so infatuated with the honest to god canonical time looper that it brought back my hyperfix and it made me actually download the game this time, specifically and only so i could play as her. pray for me.
