Stock Crash

Linda walked into the office. She said, “What do you need, sir?” to the executive there.

“Please don’t call me that. Just call me Dave.”, he said.

“Apologies, Dave.”

“Anyways, I need all these documents filed with ISED, the CSA and the TSX quickly.” Dave hands Linda a briefcase. “This stuff is related to very important stuff that needs to be sorted out ASAP, so when you get it there pay the office dudes whatever amount is needed for rush filing.”

“Understood.”

“And leave your phone notifications on for any texts from me, since there might other stuff that needs to be-.”

Suddenly, Dave is interrupted by a man in a beige suit crashing open the door. He stumbles into the office loudly. “…Dave aaa… you’re making a really big fucking …mistake!”, he said.

“What the hell Zack? You’ve clearly had too much to drink, you should be home!”, Dave said.

“I’m telling you this is a bad idea…. our stock price will fucking crash!” “You would have to be real retarded to make a……. retarded decision like…. what you are doing right now!”

While this unfolded, the clerk stood there, completely still and silent.

“What do you think I’m going to do, nothing? and just let some other group of shareholders get a majority on their side and do a coup against the business? Now that I’ve got enough dudes with enough shares on my side, I need to assert control by having the director guys who hate my guts cleared out of the board. Besides, the stock price will go back up after everyone forgets about this.”

“You duumb fu-ah.” Zack said before crashing onto the floor unconscious. There was silence for a few seconds.

Dave rolled his eyes and then looked back to Linda.

“Can you also get someone from security to move his body to the couch at his office and look after him until he’s functional?” Dave said.

“uh… okay.” Linda said.

“I’m sorry about that guy. He’s very smart with a lot of things, but not really with drinking, and when he’s drunk he’s not smart at anything.”
