First off I want to talk about the creators of the series.

I've had nothing but poor interactions with these guys. the second I was active, trying to fit in and be funny, I could clearly tell they didn't like me

the creator, Mark, wanted me to show my face to him, saying I type like a kid. Then he banned me

After a bit where I was admittedly being kind of an asshole to them, I was allowed back in. Before this I joked about people not liking me always end up as bad people one way or another, like they're pedophiles or they're racist(keep that in mind)

Mark seemed to freak out, going into one of our servers and starts defending himself... even though I told no one, and I was just joking. Then I'm allowed back in the server.

I read his defense, and I jokingly call them ableist for the things his friends said about me, and he backtracked, saying they weren't using autistic as an insult(keep this in mind for later as well)

And just today, I was doing my usual shtick, sending unfunny gifs and saying random shit, and the cast are being particularly antagonistic towards me, and then...

they call me a vegetable, even though I've told Mark that I'm autistic. So he and his friends should already be aware by now.

I bring this up to Mark, and he just says it's the type of insults they use. It's just their type of humor. Then....

...Yeah, they're racist too.

to sum it all up: The creators of Trident Business are racist, ableist assholes :D. Why can't Slenderverse creators just be normal?

Okay, now onto the actual review.

TRIDENT BUSINESS! It's... not good! It's very basic, full of the typical cliches most modern Slenderverse series have. I tried watching this myself multiple times, and I genuinely struggled to get past the first handful of videos.

1: The Pacing

The pacing is really, really bad. Every single episode is just a slog of silence, bad distortion, bad acting, mediocre editing...

You could probably remove MOST of the episodes from season 1, leaving 10, or even less, and the series would most likely improve.

Let's take the first three videos for example: Intro, 1. Hector's DVDs, and 2. Lost Media. Why were these three separate videos? Each video is drawn out for no reason, and you barely learn anything plot relevant in them, so they should really all be one video.

2: The Characters

The characters are flat. All of them are. No real personality traits, or anything to make them interesting. So there isn't anyone to actually care for. I can't even remember their names.

3: The Story

What story? Just watch Marble Hornets, it most likely does everything this series does but better, and I'm not even a big fan of MH!

4: Personal Nitpicks

The editing. It's is really poor, especially during the earlier videos. The distortion is loud and obnoxious. The Collective ripoff videos are also pointless. They have NO reason to be there, and barely anything is ever learned from most of them. They're just there for the sake of it. And they don't even have decent visuals like TribeTwelve.

The Red World/The Minds Eye. What a shitty addition tbh. It's only there because TribeTwelve did it. Mark making the Red World an open source concept is just laughable.

tHe cOnTRoLlEr. What a silly name for the Slender Man. The series give no reason for why he's called that, so I can only assume it's because TribeTwelve/Marble Hornets did it!! The Slender Man doesn't even do anything in the series. He just stands there.

Final Thoughts:

1/10. Series as basic as this don't deserve a higher rating, honestly. It does nothing new, nothing interesting, and is overly long, bloated with filler and pointless videos. It only has like, one decent looking Slender Man appearance. Like c'mon, even the most mediocre series can be saved by good Slender Man appearances. (TribeTwelve)

So me and Kolbi used to go camping. One day, we went to Alder Lake for one of our camping trips.

We had a good time. But Kolbi was still freaked out by the Raven.

I disagree, Id say its the other way around, most series that come out now are less about story imo and I would say its a bit dead, yes theres definitely not as much content being made, atleast not content Id personally consider good, again tho nothing against the creators of the series, if theyre just making it for fun, I dont really care, Ill complain but its a god damn slenderverse series, who really cares

Authors like me are still producing their own series and working on content

I understand that the series that are released on YouTube now are completely different compared to the old series that were filmed a couple of years ago. But times change just like people. Now the content is shown completely differently and there is nothing wrong with that

Nowadays series are aimed more at showing the story itself than at scaring the viewer. Some are bad,some are good,and some are neither

The series is literally good, the editing is good (hear me out,) the editing is an example of “starting and improving”. Especially with puppetsinthedark00, they’re both good. And in a couple of months and weeks their editing can build up and improve, like with the acting, but hey! At least the series creators of these 2 slenderverses are nice. And I can’t wait to see them both form a fandom, and if those 2 creators finds this post, then hello. I’m proud of you 2 for getting this far into your series. Don’t give up, and keep up the hard work! (And a Bonus: the puppetsinthedark00 series may not make sense YET. In one of the community posts on the YouTube channel, in translation, it says (spoilers) “mimic and him are making things not make sense” or something like that, so maybe in the future everything will start making sense. For lonely darkness, the story is absolutely A CHEFS KISS?! Like c’mon guys.. EVEN THE CHARACTERS! My favorite character is definitely paxter. Anyway, I’m mostly gonna turn this whole account into a theory account for the 2 series. Since I’m kinda interested, so yea.)

Look, before I start here, I have nothing against the creators of puppetsinthedark00, and I fully support new creators, if I come of mean or sound like an asshole, Im sorry but I think lonelydarkness has had enough time to improve the editing, specifically appearances of monsters, I personally dont like the creator that much, but thats besides the point, as I said, the appearances in lonelydarkness are really bad, Im sorry, but they are I actually really like the effects the creator uses and apparently the story is fine, as for puppetsinthedark00, from what I remember it was just really boring but I havent really seen much of the series so

you completely forgot to mention how fucking horrible its side channel is, sure RAB wont be anything special but atleast the side channel will be interesting and instead of just being a shitty slideshow that literally is just a black screen with white text atleast stuff will happen and it will have a bigger purpose rather than just "oh look, heres some random ass character that uhhhhh exists I guess????", I genuinly think lostandfound is the worst thing in the slenderverse. ever. It cant even work as its own thing, its genuinly just a really short blog thats in video form for some reason? "Basic, Boring, Bland" | Lockdown in the Dark Review

This was certainly a series!

It's honestly not horrible, and I commend the effort that was probably put into it, but I was just never invested tbh. The amount of Slender Man appearances was too much for me. Sure the look kind of cool, but it gets kind of lame after a while.

The story isn't anything special. Imagine Dark Days, but with The Collective from TribeTwelve.

The plans the creator had for Season 2 were... eh, they were ideas! Oh boy I can't wait for the 20 crossovers which have no purpose!

The ARG elements are kind of... goofy... barely readable, make no sense, and not even the creator knows what some of them are(during a vc with her she says she has no clue what one of the codes mean)

Something that I don't understand was the recast of Tord and the lack of personality for Legolas. Sure he was okay, but the original version of the character was loads more interesting tbh
