First Out-of-town trip during the Pandemic. Though it was raining and the pathways are muddy, we enjoyed the short trek to the swamp in the valley in the middle of Tanay, Rizal Mountains. A few days after we went out, the number of Covid-19 infections in Manila rose to the 7K+ on a single day. Looking into this, the government should not blame it to people for the rising cases. The administration should take a long and hard look into how they are handling the cases. One year of being locked down, we haven't figured it out yet. Vaccines are at a slow pace, even if the funds loaned from various sources have already been available. They should gather all top scientists in the country and listen to what they say. Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. This is the 3rd year of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino and I liked it! This year they have featured very relatable and family oriented films. The first one I have watched is Ellenya L. I think this film is funny and on point to its target audience. It tackles about the stereotypical millenial and how they navigate through lives and how our families and friends can help in going through the right path with the right attitude. Last night, I have watched Panti Sisters with 2 of my girl friends. We had a huge laugh inside the cinema like there was no tomorrow. The punch lines were not that forced. It came out naturally. But then again, there were lessons within the story line. Wish we could have more quality films likes these and more Filipino Audience to appreciate these types of films so that more and more film makers will be encouraged to watch. Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino runs ins all Metro Manila Theaters from Sep 13 to 19, 2019. Do not miss out on these very interesting films. Saan na nga ba ang mga kinatatakutan natin mula sa mga kwentong bayan. We went to see the mural entitled "Hindi Totoo" in Benilde's School of Design and Arts. The murals depict the horrors and creatures we once were afraid of. All these things are horrific but the truth is, they arent real. Scary room it was. But the message is worth pondering. Walking around Borobudur. What I like the most is the part where the guide showed the different intricacies of the figures sculptured on the walls. 1. There are many races involved in the project, inviting artsists from China, Arab and India. 2. There were three stages of the project and the phases. From time of the Grandfather of the King, his Father and the son's era. 3. Some sculptures were not finished, and some were stolen. 4. You can actually walk around like the place ia your catwalk and show your latest Batil Fashion. Borobodor Sunrise Tour Waited for the sunrise. It did not disappoint. At 3am the tour driver was calling in from WhatsApp. When I arrived at the parking lot while I was calling back, I was hearing the ringing phone. Nakatulog na pala siya haha. So I woke him up. After 30 minutes we reached the entrance to the temple where our tour guide was waiting. No need to fall in line, napaka-convenient at efficient nila. The tour was also amazing. The guide has very nice eyes for pictures and even videos. Napakasulit ng gastos na ito. Sana magtuloy-tuloy.
