Costa Brava/ Talking about opportunities

Just a day before having to leave Spain and go back to Denmark I had a chance to visit the amazing Costa Brava. /.../ The beautiful town on the picture is called Tossa. It is filled with mesmerizing houses and streets. On the sea-side there is a medieval castle positioned on a rocky surface where you can enjoy the view over the ocean.Talking about the rocky surface, this is actually where the name comes from- Costa Brava means The Cost of Bravery.

I am going to go ahead and talk a little bit about life and opportunities.
Couple of years ago I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and move to denmark- to study. I knew it is a privilege to study abroad- you will get a different perspective on life, have a better CV and perhaps find the freedom and the independecy.
I knew all that, I was ready for all the obvious changes that are going to happen in my life. The thing I have understood now is what moving abroad can mean if you grab all the opportunities you are exposed to, if you work hard for your future and if you set goals for yourself.
In the university where I decided to go study I was given an opportunity to apply for Erasmus, one semester abroad. So I applyed and got a chance to go study in Barcelona, in IED, a design school. For my surprise, the subject I studied there was completely different than what I have done in my previous university. But because I happened to study this for now I realised how interesting the subject is for me. How much I enjoy getting the knowledge about architecture, materials and practice in creating volume and capturing atmospheres.
This semester introduced me to amazing people who made the half a year in Barcelona unforgettable and probably will be in my life forever.
These situations and realisations keep me motivated and even more eager to grab every opportunity I get. To fulfil my life more and more, get new experiences, knowledge, see the word, meet new people and in between all of that learn to know myself better and better.

I mentioned meating people, pleaople who have come to my life by a quinsidance but are there for a reason.
While my stay in Spain, I lived with a family. A family who are so kind and helpful, caring and understanding. They thougt me everything I know about the Spanish culture, they showed me around Spain, they introduced me to the traditions and amazing food. Thanks to these amazing people I fell in love with every aspect of Spain.
The thing I am tring to say is that when you take chances and are opened to new situations the world has so much to offer. In life there are so many opportunityes it's your choice to either take advantage of them or dicard them.

After visiting the beautiful Tossa, me and my host family went to have lunch in a nairby town, that I can't remember the name of, sorry about that.

Wheat Sprout Powder

Hello crazy people! Recently I stumbled upon another interesting superfood. It caught my attention immediately, somehow. I guess it is because even wheat has a stadium where it is a legit super food and that made me purchase it and found out more about it.
So what is it? That a question I asked myself not that long time ago.

First of all wheat sprout powder is a beautiful green colour powder that tastes quite bitter. You can use it for example in juices, smoothies, salads or just use your imagination and try adding it to different dishes and see how it works out. But now lets go more deep. Behind the beautiful colour and the knowledge that it is a super food what is really the benefit? Well sprouted grains are full of vitamins and minerals. It is rich source of nutrients, it contains over 20 amino acids, 12 vitamins, 13 minerals and packed with enzymes that help repair damaged cells and protect against free radicals. Sunburst superfoods helped me understand a little bit more about the powders uniqueness. Wheat Sprout powder has a unique source of SOD’s which is a powerful defence against chemically reactive molecules that damage cells. Free radicals invade the body through pesticides and herbicides, ozone contamination, nutritional deficiencies, injuries, UV gamma rays, and toxic metals. SOD acts as an antioxidant that helps the body to repair itself quickly. SOD has been known to slow the effects of aging and reduce inflammation in the body. Another extraordinary compound found in wheat grass and sprouts is the enzyme P4D1, the first substance known to stimulate the repair of DNA molecules. P4D1 does two important things. The super enzyme makes it possible for diseased cells to heal themselves so that they can go on to produce “good” cells. Even more amazing is the fact that P4D1 has been shown in laboratory tests to eat through the protein sheath of cancel cells so that white blood cells can attack and destroy them.

Having studied all that information I don't see why anyone would not want to try adding it to their everyday diet. A very cheap superfood that had many many benefits! I do recommend to buy the eco version because you never know how it has been grown and if it still has all the benefits in it and if it doesn't have any chemicals! The greener the better!

Mokoko
Hello Crazy people! Every time I visit my home city Tallinn, I go through all the design shops and look for something new and interesting. This time a beautiful card holder caught my eye and I just needed to buy it. When I looked into the Mokoko brand I found the brand to be even more interesting. Their principle is sustainable living- something the world is crazy about right now. While producing, they try to waste as little material as possible. Also the seams are made by hand which means the good are more durable and should last for many many years. The leather Mokoko uses is vegetable tanned leather which matures over time and remains resistant over years. Personally speaking, I love how leather transforms over time and gets its personality.

Now lets talk about the design! The design in simple but yet elegant and sophisticated. The little red cardholder is one of the most simple design this brand has. When you check out their products you can see more complex designs applied to wallets, bags, key holders and so on. They use beautiful one coulor leathers as well as some with graphic tough to them. Be sure to check the brand out and let me know what you think about their products. I can’t wait until I own another item of theirs!

Taking Demano to Brunch and Cake

Hello crazy people! As I have been wondering around Barcelona I stumbled up on a brand called Demano. From the first glimpse it got my attention. Basically Demano makes bags out of recycled (PVC) canvas from banners from exhibitions in Barcelona. The company started making sustainable and innovative products in 1999. The products are made out of advertising banners, kitesurfing kites, pieces of cloths and umbrellas. They make bags, backpacks, purses and briefcases that tell the daily story of the city. How cool is that? Therefore I could not just leave the store behind, I had to leave with this funky bag that I fell in love with. For me the exciting part of the design was not only the shape and the idea behind it but also how it looks. It is quite exciting how the pieces are cut in a way that the information that once was on the banners end up in a random order on my bag, if you know what I mean. The typography and graphic design really gives it an extra value, in my opinion. Also the details and perfect clean cuts are a huge part why I adore this bad so much!

From design bags to lunch in Brunch and Cake- what an awesome day I had! So how did I end up in Bruch and cake? Basically I really fancied a carrot cake and this one tastes too good to be true! To go with the yummy dessert I ordered a beetroot coffee with almond milk. To be honest I am not sure why they make it with beetroot because the coffee kills all the vitamins I would get from beetroot anyway. I assume it is all because it sounds good and attempting and was quite awesome to drink red coffee! And the lovely smoothie that is posing on my pictures is something Hugo ordered for himself but I kindly drank half of it, sorry for that, Hugo! But it tasted delicious! Allright, this is it! Enjoy the pictures and be sure to check out Demano! XX

Booja-Booja truffles
Hello Crazy people! I have found the perfect chocolate truffles and the best thing is that they don’t only taste like heaven but have great ingredients as well! The perfect not quilty pleasure!! What am I talking about? Boogie-Booja is a brand that makes vegan truffles and ice creams. They are organic, dairy and gluten free as well as free from soya. They have a huge variety of different, heavenly flavors and they all taste almost too good to be true.

The ones I have in my fridge right now are these Almond and Salted Caramel truffles, yummm! And the ingredients are so simple as well! Chocolate (Cocoa Solids 55%, Cane Sugar, Vanilla), Almond Paste 27%, Coconut Oil, Salted Caramel (Cane sugar, Water, Sea Salt) 6%, Cocoa Powder and that all is organic, can you imagine that? Seeing all the ingredients written down like that makes me understand why they taste as good as they do :)

As I said they do have really many flavours and to be honest I have not tried them all but one that I do love as well and perhaps even more than the Salted Caramel ones are the Hazelnut chocolate truffles! You definitely have to try them out, I promise you will not regret it. Also they have won so many awards, the brand all together as well as the flavours individually, for example the Hazelnut truffle has won 19 awards, whaaat? Thats how good they are..I also might be a little bit obsessed with them. :) Be sure to try them out and also the ice creams! They are soo tasty as well. I know the price is a bit higher than a usual chocolate bar would cost but I mean they are so worth the money. And because they are a bit more expensive I feel like you wouldn’t just eat the whole box of it, so they last longer, taste way better and are better for you than any commercial, cheap chocolate bar. :) If I could replace all the flowers I will ever receive with these yummy heavenly bites, I definitely would!

Day in Amsterdam
Hello Crazy people! Last weekend I spent an extempore day in Amsterdam which happened to turn out very joyful and one of the best “get away” days I have had. It was so nice to be back in the lovely city, between the canals and little streets. This “trip” really got me thinking, if this is the place I see myself living after uni?! So far it is definitely on the list of my future plans and it got me quite excited. I am not going to rumble on about what we did there, where we went and what we saw.. and by we I mean Hugo and I. It was quite a coincidence that my flight with what I was going to London was from Amsterdam. Therefor I was able to spend some time with him and have a chilled day in one of the most beautiful cities. To give you a little bit of an idea of my day, there are pictures down below, that you can scroll through. Enjoy!

English Tea Time

Hello Crazy people! I haven’t been that active on social media lately, it’s just because it has been hectic over these past couple of weeks. I thought being in Estonia would mean relaxing but turned out I had so many things to do that I was just running from one place to another. One of the reasons why I have been so busy lately is because I moved to UK, London for a month and a half to do my internship here at Kriss Soonik Loungerie. So far I have truly enjoyed being here though the city is big and can be quite scary. Also moving here alone can be challenging in many ways. It’s odd because I used to not live in Estonia anyway, I was in Denmark for a year but it sure feels different. But yesterday I looked around the city for a bit and went to some beautiful places- The Tower Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral. And today after I finished work I wandered around Essex Road area. I was looking for a canal and some lovely cafe where I could have a glass of wine but I didn’t quite find the canal, but in conclusion it went even better- I found an adorable little cafe that sold gourmet/eco food. All the pictures down below! I also took my camera with me therefore I will post the vlog here as well. I hope you enjoy discovering London together with me. XX

BAOBAB & MORINGA
Hello Crazy people! As I have been from one health store to another while being in Estonia I stumbled upon this 100% natural and organic African super fruit powder. I have seen this product used before and talked about but I haven't yet had the chance to try it out myself. Therefor I decided to purchase couple of Aduna products to really see and feel what the fuzz is all about.

As the brand says itself It is the only fruit in the world that dries on the branch, producing a natural superfood powder that is exceptionally nutrient-dense and supports a wide range of health and beauty benefits. For example Baobab powder is a really good source of vitamin C that is good for energy release, immune function and it makes your skin healthy and glowing- who wouldn't want that? This whole food contains more antioxidants than any other whole fruit. And it is almost 50% fibre! As it is a natural source of these nutrients, it is more bioavailable than manufactured vitamin supplements, meaning our bodies can absorb the nutrients more easily, ensuring a greater uptake. Also it tastes really good, it has this citrus taste to it. You could use it in a smoothie, breakfast bowl or in any porridge.

Aduna Moringa is a 100% organic green superfood made from the naturally dried leaf of the Moringa tree, one of the most nutrient-dense plants on the planet. Moringa superleaf powder is an amazing source of iron, vitamin A, Vitamin K and is a rich of protein. Also it is super high on fiber, Vitamin E, calcium and magnesium. If this didn't make you want to eat it, what will? It has a very nice spinach taste. You could use it in a smoothie, soups, salads or pasta dressings, the options are endless really...Just try it, feel it and be ready to glow!

KIEHL’S review
Hello Crazy people!
Lately I have been testing out some new products and to be precise a new brand-KIEHK’S. It is an American brand that does skin, hair and body care products out of good natural ingredients.
The 4 products I am going to talk about right now are the ones I have most recently purchased and am using currently.

First up is this very basic Ultra Facial Cream. This is something that they always have part of their basic range. It is a everyday cream for 24 hours, though I apply it every morning and every night. It hydrates really well. You don’t have to apply a whole scoop of product, just a little goes a long way with this one and actually this applies to every product I am going to talk about in this blog post. Also the formula of the cream is very light and sinks into the skin very well. I really recommend this one if you have a slightly dry to normal skin.
Second item is also from their basic range and is suitable for all skin types- Ultra Facial Cleanser. You apply just a small amount of product on your finger tips and smoothly massage it on your face. At first it feels quite weird because you can’t really see the product but the more you massage the liquid tuns into white foam and from this point it is super easy to see where you have applied it so you know you have cleaned the whole face. I either wash it off or more often than that I use a facial towel to gently take the product off. I really like it- so easy to use and makes the skin feel really fresh and clean. It doesn’t make the skin too dry, which usually tends to happen. It also goes really well with the moisturiser I talked about earlier.

The next two products are the most recent purchases. Firstly the Cucumber Herbal alcohol-free toner. This as well is for all skin types and specially for dry or sensitive skin. I have tried it for almost a week now and I am impressed. I didn’t think I would like it because I find it difficult to find a toner that makes my skin leave soft and not too dry. This product is super easy to use and tones the skin really well. I also love the green colour of it as well as the smell.
Last but not least I am going to talk you through an Amino Acid shampoo. Now this is with pure coconut oil and is silicon- and paragon-free. I can’t say that I love it. It makes my skin a bit irritating and perhaps acidy is the right word. I don’t mind using it while I have it, but I wouldn’t re purchase it. But it smells truly amazing! Unfortunately it didn’t make my hair the way it described it would. On the bottle it said it helps add fullness while giving the hair softness and shine. I can’t say that it did that but perhaps I still have to use the product more to really see the difference.

So this is what I think about the product , I chose to use and try out. In general I am really impressed with the products and the brand itself. The products are well made and packaging is very gentle and well designed. So huge thumbs up for that!
I am looking forward to using many more products from KIEHL’S brand!
Hope you enjoyed reading my little review of these products and perhaps even decide to purchase some of these yourself!

ENERGY BAR

As I stumbled upon a raw bar by a brand called NÄKD I decided to recreate the recipe. And the result was amazing!

I don’t usually like raw energy bars but as I was in Copenhagen I picked up a bar called Cashew cookie and I fell in love with it! When I checked the ingredients, for my surprise there was only 2- cashew nuts and dates. So I thought how difficult can it be to recreate that? It wasn’t.
What I did was take 50% cashew nuts and 50% dates. I let the nuts soak in water for about 3 hours. Then I blended both ingredients together, made them in the desirable shape and put it in the fridge for over night.
It is such an amazing course of energy and it is so clean! When you buy an energy bar, you don’t really know what is actually in it but wen you buy the ingredients and make it yourself, it is so pure and flavorous.
I eat half a bar before I go to the gym and I feel that I have more strength as well as endurance. I recommend it a lot. It’s simply too easy, delicious and nourishing not to try it!

LOOKBOOK

Hello Crazy people! Todays post is about how I styled my old pair or denim shorts. The outfit has a very casual look however, the T-shirt makes it look more put together. Also I have been loving this dark metallic jewellery, I think it goes together with almost everything and it’s not too overwhelming nor eye catching. The dark grey shirt is from a brand called Femme home and it is made out of a fabric called cupro(copper), which is why it has this cold feel to it that I really like. The shirt is quite heavy weight but I think it looks really good. I like the cut of the sleeves and also the neckline. All the jewellery is from Pilgrim. I really like their style and the items are of really good quality. They are all nickel-free and handmade. Sunglasses are from Zara and they remind me a lot of Dior sunglasses. Actually the sunnies are meant for male but I thought why not wear them myself. I think they look really chic. Last but not least-shoes. I am obsessed with these shoes. They are so comfy and I really like the look of them. The tone isn’t white, it’s quite bridge and rustic looking. A huge thumbs up for these! And they are from a brand called Asics but they have a different product line called Onitsuka Tiger, which is the line this pair is from.

Juicing

Hello Crazy people!
As we are getting closer to summer, our eating habits change and our body craves for freshness and something that cools us down when the weather is too hot. This is why I have put together 3 simple juice recipes.
Juice is something I think I could live out of. It tastes delicious and is so easy to make, drink/eat and digest as well. A perfect vitamin bomb after you wake up and start your day. The ingredients are so simple and basic but the taste is amazing. Not to forget the colours! People are supposed to eat a rainbow every day and with juicing I find it so easy and joyful.

Grapefruit, orange juice: All you need is 1 large grapefruit and 2-3 sweet oranges. Green detox juice: 1 lemon, 2 handfull spinach, small handful of coriander, 1 cucumber, 1 apple.

Healthy chocolate mousse& Homemade granola RECIPE!
Hello Crazy people!
I thought I can't keep this recipe to myself simply because it is so delicious. Many people think if something is healthy it tastes bad, odd, weird. Well guess what, this tastes like chocolate heaven. When it comes to cooking I have to say that I am quite impatient. My food has to be ready quickly and it has to be easy to make. This recipe is all about that. If you ever say you didn’t have time for breakfast again it is just not true.

Why I love this recipe is because it is so versatile! You can use it as a topping for pancakes, eat it for breakfast with granola like I did today or simply make it into a dessert or cover your cake with it! CHOCOLATE MOUSSE Recipe: 1 Avocado, 1 Banana, 2 tsp raw cocoa powder Simply blend it all together and top it off with some fruit of your choice, nuts, seeds...whatever you feel like. I added some HOMEMADE GRANOLA I made yesterday.

GRANOLA Recipe: 3 cups Gluten free Oat flakes, 1 cup goji berries, 1 cup dried grand berries, 1/2 cup dried plums, 2 tbsp flex seeds, 2 cups nut mix, 3 tsp coconut oil, 4 tbsp agave syrup Put everything on an oven pan, mix well and pop it in the oven(180 degrees) for 10 min. Mix it around and put it in the oven for another 15 min or until the oats turn crispy and brownish. ALL the products I used in both recipes are ECOLOGIC.

Current GO TO makeup!
Hello crazy people!
I have never been a huge makeup fan but as there are so many awesome brands out there with their exciting lounges I have slowly gotten more and more into beauty world. Not that I would necessarily wear more makeup than usual, but lately I have noticed that I do feel more passionate about it. So lets get to it!
Over some time now I have been stuck with certain products that I use the most and which feel good to wear. Products that fulfil my expectations and in general feel nice while on.
The first product I am going to talk about is a Le volume de Chanel mascara. There are three colour options but I went for the classic black. Because I have quite dark and long lashes myself I don’t need the mascara to be anything that special. But despite of that this is a good product in both giving length and volume. I must say I like it better after some time. In general when I buy a new mascara I don’t like them the very second I try it on the first time. I just need the product to stand a side for a bit and then use it. After applying the mascara my lashes don’t stick together in a lump, it gently devides each lash leaving a clean and glamorous look. And yea, I like it a lot.

Second item is this amazing Yves Saint Laurent Volupte sheer candy Glossy Balm Crystal color in shade 1 Lush Coconut. It is sheer nude beige with golden shimmer. The fact that I like this lip gloss came to me as a total surprise. First of all I don’t really like wearing anything on my lips because it makes me feel like I have too much make-up on my face and secondly because it is shimmery! I never go for anything that is shiny in my make-up. Even my highlighters and blushes are nude. But this lip gloss is amazing. I really love the tone and I am comfortable wearing it, because it isn’t too much, it’s not as out there. Also the smell is simply stunning! As I take from the name it should smell like coconut but I wouldn't say it does. It is more fruity, sweet and summery. More of a bubblegum smell. I adore it! Speaking about adoring it, how amazing is the packaging? Mixing together gold, silver and the sheer nude beige- it looks awesome! I would buy it just because it is pretty, to stand on my make-up table. Reccommend it a lot! Especially for summer time, because it is not that heavy looking and it has a nice shimmer to it!
Next up is a perfume Boss Ma Vie Pour Femme Hugo Boss for woman. The packaging is super simple yet elegant and attractive. It has a nice crystal imitation cap. If you remove it, it has a nice golden sprayer under. I wouldn’t say the smell is very girly, it rather suits together with tomboy vibe. Yet it is very fresh and woman-like. It is more day time kind of perfume and reminds me of words like modern woman and perhaps even femininity. I like it a lot because it is quite mild smell, not too out there. Love it, Love it, Love it!

Up next is Dior Forever foundation. I have it in colour 010 which is the second lightest in the range. It is quite fluid foundation, feels very nice to apply and also takes away the shine from your skin, leaving a matte finish. One thing I find very helpful in summertime is when the foundation already has an SPF. This one right here has SPF 35 which I think is very ok, considering the fact that I live in Denmark. On the bottle it says that it is everlasting wear. I don’t agree 100 percent but it does stay on for quite some time. The only few issues I have is that it does not stay on my nose very well and also, in the end of the day I can see that I don't have a full coverage anymore. But while putting on the make-up I do tend to apply very little amount so that might be the problem after all. The packaging is nice, clean and very timeless. I like the nude bottle and also the pump is very handy and convenient.

Going from high end make-up to more high street products. Next product I am going to talk about is this Aqua blush by Bourjois, Paris in shade Pink twice. Now this product is one of my favourite of all time. When I discovered it I was instantly curious and it didn’t disappoint me for one moment. Basically it is paste blush. It is quite thick when you pump it out from the bottle. How I use it is I take a little amount and by that I mean a very very little amount (because it is very pigmented) on my finger tip and apply it on my cheacks using a contouring brush. The finished look in my opinion is amazing! It feels so natural even though the colour is quite tacky. It stayed on the whole day and feels super easy on the skin. I recommend this product a lot a lot a lot!
Next products are by a Finnish brand called Lumene. I have been using these ever since I started doing my eyebrows. It is just so simple and easy with these two. They have also redone the packaging since I last bought them. The first item is an eyebrow shaping wax in color Grey brown. I feel like the colour is just right for me and the finishing look is great. I don’t like my eyebrows to be too correctly done. I like the messy feel that I can create with these two products. The second product is an eyebrow pencil in the same colour Grey brown. This one I use simply to fill out my eyebrows. I have tried many different products when it comes to eyebrows but I find these two to be the easiest to use, because the outcome is really nice. Also, these last for quite a long long time.

Last but not least is my all time favourite Pro Longer Paint Pot by MAC. I have talked about this in one of my favourites but because it is my go to make-up I thought I would also include it here. I don't like to go overboard with my make-up, I never used to wear any eyeshadow but since I found this one I can’t stop using it. It is so nice on my eyelids, makes me feel so good and it looks gorgeous. It is super easy to apply. I simply use my fingers even when it comes to bending it out nicely. The quality is so good, it lasts all day and probably would even last the whole night but then again it isn't difficult to take it off- which is amazing. I don’t like products that do not come off my face easily. The products, packaging and everything that comes with it in this Paint Pot I find to be excellent. I recommend it a LOT! Just choose the right colour for you. They have many options when it comes to shades so be picky! For example when I went to the MAC store to pick this product up I had a totally different colour that I wanted but while trying it on, it didn’t feel right and then I found this one that suits me absolutely perfectly.

That is it for this time. Hope you enjoyed and perhaps even found something you would want to purchase yourself. I would definitely recommend all of the products that I talked about!

ITALY, Pisa
Hello crazy people!
As mentioned in my last blogpost I went to Italy. We spent 2 days in Venice and decided to go stay 3 days in Pisa as well. That we did.
When we got there we had a little misunderstanding with the hotel and therefore lost a day discovering the city but luckily we were able to do all of the things we had planned.
Our accommodation was very nice, a bed and breakfast right on the main street. The rooms were lovely and vey italian-like. The man hosting us was so nice and we got along really well considering he spoke no english what so ever and neither of us knows how to speak Italian so hands were quite a help.
After settling in to our room we went to look for a nice dining place, since we had travelled the whole day and eaten nothing. So as we looked for a restaurant we suddenly saw the tower of Pisa and realised how small the city is. The fact we missed a half day was nothing.
One day we even bought a ticket to climb up the tower. We saw a nice view on top to the mountains as well the whole park and the city.
Because in Venice the weather wasn’t the best we very happy when we saw the sun in Pisa. I know it’s not a lot but there was around 20-22 degrees which we were still quite pleased with, coming from Denmark where it’s only rain and wind.
All in all our trip ended nicely and hope to go back to Italy soon.
