Of course, to advance quickly you must have memorized some formulas that will help you in the questions with calculations, so you will not have to go back to the formulas provided by the exam over and over again.
27- Because you can scratch on the test sheet, do not miss the opportunity to underline parts of the question that are key. In math calculation, this will allow you to stay focused on arriving at the correct answer and not fall into the trap of the wrong option.
28- In the SAT course  you can try solving these problems as many times as necessary, until you record the required steps. So during the exam you will be able to see first the results of the question and then the explanation to answer the question exactly.
29- The practice of basic exercises will make you develop the ability to solve them with increasing confidence. This confidence will give you correct answers, and these answers will give you points to add and pass your exam. This is why it is important to identify where your weaknesses are and overcome them, doing so you will stop making common mistakes.
30- Finally, take advantage of the calculator resource in the exercises that allow it, avoid playing riddles or trying to make the resolutions manually. Take advantage of the resources you have.
Even the advice for you to pass your SAT exam with the best grades, the question now is what will you do with all this? Every goal requires effort, perseverance and dedication, but also to ensure meaningful and long-term learning, it requires the company of professionals to help you prepare for this exam.

5 tactics to get the highest grade in GRE Sentence Equivalence
Tumblr media
Preparing for the GRE online test is more than studying the meaning of a list of random words. Although this technique is important and can benefit you, it is not the most appropriate if you are looking to get the best possible score, and even exceed your expectations.
Instead, the key to standing out with an enviable score -which you can prepare in the online GRE course- is to understand the words and the elements that surround them, so that you can make the best use of them, arrange them correctly and pass. all the exercises in the Sentence Equivalence subsection, which we will study in this free GRE guide.
GRE Training in Coimbatore
This section of the test is often confused with another part of the Verbal section, such as Sentence Completion or Text Completion. But they really have very different elements and purposes that we will study below.
What is Sentence Equivalence of the GRE?
Basically, sentence equivalence questions have a sentence with a blank space. You must choose two answers from among six available alternatives, with the particularity that both must give a similar meaning to the complete sentence, that is, that the two words you have chosen can be applied equally and correctly.
But it is not as simple as it seems: the test makers intentionally introduce answer options that are very similar, with the aim of creating confusion and limiting your ability to evaluate all the necessary elements that lead you to answer correctly.
GRE Training Institutes in Coimbatore
When the time comes to analyze each of the options, you will see that they are similar to each other. You will have to apply a series of premeditated strategies that will lead you to find the correct answer.
As part of the GRE online classes from home of EXAM Madrid Academy, here we leave you the best strategies for the Sentence Equivalence subsection:
1. Objective: synonyms in sentences
As we explained above, the objective is to choose two words that, when applied to the blank space of the question, have the same meaning as each other and correctly complete the incomplete sentence of the exercise.
And how do you achieve that? Surely you will think that it is very simple: looking for synonymous words, which are different but have the same meaning.
This is an innocent mistake that many students of online GRE courses often make. But since you have arrived at the indicated language academy in Madrid, we will give you the key to modify that objective and redirect your GPS towards success: it is not a question of finding synonymous words, but of identifying among the six answer options, the two that when placed in the blank space they are a complete synonym, that is, that the complete sentence is a synonym of another.
If you look closely, there is no room for confusion: among the six alternatives you have, there will only be two words that meet these parameters. During your practice sessions in the GRE online course you will be able to perform real-time drills of the GRE, emulating the same conditions of the test, stopwatch activated, entering our virtual classroom and online platform.
2. Rely on the context of the incomplete sentence
This strategy complements the previous one perfectly. And it is that the two words that you will choose are intrinsically related to the context of the incomplete sentence. This is where the key lies to resolve the issue immediately, as quickly and accurately as possible.
By analyzing the meaning, what is meant in the sentence, its goal, then there will be no way to lose points. Let's put it in a very easy to understand way: if you focus on answer options that are synonymous, you will fail to give your answer, because the fact that they are synonymous does not guarantee that they fit the meaning of the incomplete sentence correctly.
GRE Coaching in Coimbatore
On the other hand, based on the context of said sentence, you will see without a doubt which of the answer options do meet the essential requirement: that the sentence is incomplete, by completing both word number one and word number two., is consistent and generally has the same meaning in both scenarios, even though they are different words.
3. Simplify the sentence and play with your own answers
During your practice sessions in the online GRE course from home, try these two strategic phases of adapting to the Sentence Equivalence subsection.
First, simplify the incomplete sentence. How? When reading the practice sentences, you will notice that, just like you will see on the GRE, many will contain filler information, which ends up being expendable in the end. This occurs in some cases, not in all. In any case, as we are practicing, it is very valid and useful to do it, because you will be training and conditioning your brain for what is coming.
Then, break down the practice sentences by determining which are the key words and which ones can be skipped almost automatically by your mind. This will help you to always stay focused and focused on the goal, which is to answer each question correctly.
GRE Classes in Coimbatore
After mentally simplifying the incomplete sentences, take the risk of giving your own answers, that is, choosing two words from your mind, without looking at the six alternatives in the exercise.
Next, compare your choice of words with those in the exercise. If you have got any right, it is because many answers are usually obvious. The more you do, the more comfortable you'll feel with Sentence Equivalence. We guarantee it!
4. Apply the assertive discard
Strategy number four can be applied individually, without following the recommended procedures in the first three strategies of this free GRE guide. Assertive discarding is characterized by reviewing the response options.
One by one, start placing them in the blank space of the practice exercise. Analyze all of them individually and draw your own conclusions, asking yourself the logical questions: Does the word fit correctly? What is the general meaning that you give to the complete sentence? Does it make sense to put that word or does it sound incoherent?
GRE Training in Coimbatore
When you get to the last one, there may be only two options out of six that match in meaning, are similar, and flow with the incomplete sentence, completing it appropriately. In case there are more than two, then do a review and start reducing your hit range until you get the two correct ones.
It's very simple: words that lose strength in terms of fluency, context, sense and meaning will be discarded along the way. That is what this strategy of the GRE course in Madrid is about. Ready and ready to apply it?
5. Prepare yourself with practical exercises
At this point in the free GRE guide, it's time to ask yourself a very important question: Do you have doubts about what the Sentence Equivalence subsection is like? Whatever your answer, we will give you very important practical material, as part of the GRE online course from home.

If you want to prepare on your own, remember to only study with official guides and reliable resources, like the ones you can get completely free on our blog. Explore sample test with their answers included at the end, so you can keep track of your results and progress.

Advantages and disadvantages of standardized tests for students
Tumblr media
1.) They are supposed to level the playing field. Not all schools, public or private, are created equal, and taking the SAT or ACT can indicate that a student from a disadvantaged school background has the same scholastic ability as other students. However, research has also indicated that one of the most important factors for success on standardized tests is socioeconomic status, which is related to money to pay for prep classes and tutoring.
SAT Training in Coimbatore
2.) They are a good practice for the rest of life. At some point in life, most adults will have to take a standardized test, whether it's for admission to graduate school, to pass a college licensing exam, or to earn certification and credit for vocational training. Outside of work, standardized tests are prevalent throughout society. Even to get a driver's license, you first have to pass a standardized test. However, the downside to taking the SAT or ACT to practice for life after high school is that the tests can cause intense anxiety that can negatively affect scores., the same ones that many universities continue to consider important in determining whether to admit an applicant.
3.) They do not predict overall college success. The SAT and ACT tests do not provide college admissions committees with information about a student's performance in college. In fact, these tests only have a positive correlation with students' grades up to their freshman year. On the other hand, "The ACT and the College Board, which owns the SAT, hold that the combination of grades and test scores is the best general guide for selecting students who are likely to be successful in college. Using grades without test scores could exacerbate inequalities, testers say, because grade inflation is worse in affluent schools," Teresa Watanabe notes in a Los Angeles Times article in December 2019.

The final decision is individual.
Knowing which college program, a student wants to be admitted to is an important first step in determining whether or not to take the SAT or ACT. Speaking with a high school counselor who is familiar with that program or speaking directly with the college can also shed light on how applications are considered there.
A student may want to take the tests so that their applications have as much information as possible to support their admission to a university. If grades were less than desirable in high school, but the student does well on tests, for example, sitting for exams might be a useful measure. On the other hand, if the tests are not required, the student may want to forgo taking them to avoid the need to prepare for them and the stress that would accompany them.
Making an individualized pros and cons list can help the student make the decision that is right for them.

Top 10 Tips for the GRE Test
GRE Test Tips for Living
Answer each question. The GRE is not the time to skip questions you are unsure about. No one cares if you really don't understand something and have to guess randomly. You're not penalized for guessing on the GRE (unlike the SAT), so it's in your best interest to answer every question that comes your way, even the ones you don't like.
Particularly while taking the Computer Adaptive GRE, be certain of your responses. You can't answer something again because the screen will disappear. On the paper test, you can skip a question and come back to it later if you need to, but on the computerized version, you'll just get a zero if you leave something blank. So make the right decision the first time!
Use scratch paper. You will not be allowed to bring paper into the test center, but the scratch paper will be provided. Use it to help solve math problems, summarize your essay for the writing part, or write down formulas or vocabulary words you've memorized before the test.
Use a process of elimination. If you can rule out even one wrong answer, you'll be in a much better place to guess if that's what it is. Instead of looking for the "correct" answer per se, look for the "least incorrect" answer. Most of the time, you'll be able to narrow your choices down to two, which obviously gives you a much better chance of answering the question correctly.
GRE Training in Coimbatore
Spend more time on difficult questions. You will most likely be taking the computerized version of the GRE, so the score is scaled: more difficult questions equal more points. Even if you fail quite a few easy questions and get a smaller percentage of the harder ones right, your score will still be much better than if you got all the easy ones right and only got a few hard ones right. So plan your time accordingly.
Go at your own pace. You may be a dreamer in real life, but taking the GRE is not the right time to mentally wander through space. You will only have about a minute per question for the verbal section and about two minutes per question for the math section. Two minutes may seem like a long time to answer a math question, and it would be for easy questions, but once you're doing some serious computing, you'll realize time is running out. So don't waste it.
Don't question yourself too often. Statistics suggest that your first choice of answer is usually correct as long as you have prepared well for the exam and have a solid foundation of knowledge. Don't retake the test and change your answers on the paper test unless you've discovered information that leads to a new conclusion or you realize you didn't give yourself enough time to carefully consider the question on the first try.
GRE Coaching in Coimbatore
Mentally manage your stress. Once you're sitting at a desk or in front of a computer screen, your ability to do too much physically to manage your stress about the GRE and its implications for your future diminishes. Therefore, the best thing you can do is mentally manage your stress by repeating a positive phrase or imagining the end result of all your hard work.
Read the solutions before beginning the reading comprehension portion. Instead of diving into the text, read what you need to be aware of. You'll save time and get more points by reading the answer choices before you read the text.
Scheme. It may look old-fashioned, but you can't ignore the GRE writing section. Before you start writing, make sure you take five minutes to summarize what you are going to say first. Your organization and thought process will be much better if you do. GRE Training Institute in Coimbatore These are the suggestions we believe will help you conquer the GRE general test. Keep in mind that your strength is not in knowing all the answers, but in your ability to think critically. Join the Top GRE Training center in Coimbatore to ace the GRE Test.
