It was time to catch up with my mother after a year of traveling abroad. So we decided to spend a week in June in a dog-friendly two-story typical whitewashed stone-house in Brittany, France. We enjoyed the sea view from our cottage, unspoiled walks with dogs along the wild coast and delicious seafood in quaint towns. A year later we went to Capbreton in the region of Biarritz to have a good time together again.

It is difficult to see our adult children regularly because we are traveling a lot. Therefore it was quite an achievement to find a date in our calendars where we could manage to spend a week together with George’s kids in a spacious tastefully furnished house in Struisbay, South Africa. The best way in our opinion to spend time together and to catch up on our lives is to spend holidays together. Hopefully, we can do the same with my kids somewhere in Europe.
