you guys don’t even understand what GoodTimesWithScar means to me. Funniest character to ever exist. He’s the server’s sexy pool boy and marriage counselor and he’s bad at all of his jobs and you can never tell if it’s through intentional sabotage or genuine incompetence and then you see him build the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen and log out. He’s not a himbo because he’s a genius and master manipulator but he decided a long time ago that he cares more about having abs and giant tits than proving to anyone that he’s smart. He can cry on command and make you think he’s the most helpless creature on the planet and then turn around and fire an arrow from 200 blocks away and get a headshot and kill you. And then he turns around trips over his own feet and drowns in four inches of water. I’m literally obsessed with him

The other fascinating thing to me is how often I feel like Grian's held to a higher standard than other people are.

Grian's "ultimate betrayal" kill on Scar in Limited Life when they were barely teamed is often shown as proof Grian's a traitor who is Bad for his teammates, but somehow Scar blatantly betraying Grian in Third Life after an entire season of being partners is often just a footnote that's barely brought up and not dwelled on.

Grian scamming Scar out of a life in Last Life is a cruel betrayal of Scar's trust in him but it's fine actually that Scar spent all episode up to that point trying to scam people because that's how Scar is and he's just Silly.

Grian 'cheating' on Scar by pursuing BigB is vindictive and selfish and hurt Scar so much but Scar doing stuff like hurting Grian on purpose to punish him for arguments over housework isn't a big deal.

Mumbo and Jimmy attacking Grian repeatedly in Last Life is fair game but Grian retaliating while they were trying to kill him is frequently counted as "team killing" and considered a betrayal of their prior alliance.

Grian accidentally getting Jimmy killed in Limited Life is proof he doesn't value his teams, but Jimmy getting his teammates killed is an understandable mistake.

Grian is ridiculed by Mumbo in Wild Life for not giving him a life, but of course noone expected Mumbo to give Grian lives the few times Grian turned red in Last Life while Mumbo wasn't.

When Grian is unhinged over Mumbo generally ("we can still be friends..") it's toxic but when Mumbo is unhinged over Grian in arguably worse ways ("you don't need friends" + 10000 cheating accusations) it's understandable or he's just being Silly and it's harmless.

When other players switch teams because their team died or fell apart, it's understandable, when Grian looks for a new team after his dies, he's devaluing his team.

When other players win, it's celebrated, when Grian wins through a fair fight with his partner it's the sign of his bloodlust and future team killings.

When other players lose teammates, they get sympathy, when Grian loses teammates- even when he had nothing to do with their deaths-we whisper about his curse and try to find reasons to blame him.

When other players make a mistake, it's a mistake, when Grian makes a mistake, he's a killer, a monster, one of Them, a blight or a curse upon the people around him, who was never meant to be here at all.

Grian is held to a higher standard than other people frequently, even though Grian is maybe the most likely player to hold himself responsible for things on his own.

And I just think that's sad.
