In the Undercity children take on their mother’s last name, as parents so-rarely are in any sort of relationship beyond ONE NIGHT STANDS. ——in the 1NH3R174NC3 verse, 5liip reaches a point where he KNOWS his plan can’t progress unless he DIES.

5liip ALSO knows of Dox’s existence & has been trying to get him into the gang for YEARS - a HEALER in the undercity would be an asset to ANYONE. Dox has been LAYING LOW his WHOLE LIFE, trying to KEEP his healing powers a secret from EVERYONE, but 5liip specializes in INFORMATION; —5liip orchestrates his own death to work out in a circumstance wherein dox is there & HAS NO CHOICE but to agree to take over the gang.

——for the first week since gaining {Black Bracket} Dox keeps himself locked away in 5liip’s office, just trying to comprehend everything; he’s already overwhelmed with the new DEMANDS, but with the surge of information that no one man should be in possession of, it just goes downhill from there.

Dox goes nearly two months without a Second-In-Command, something unheard of in the Undercity.

Given that Dox now rules {Black Bracket} and, by effect, the Undercity, Bratch turns all efforts into bringing him down. Bratch recognizes Dox is just a child with a lot of new struggles, and in those first two months he expends all efforts in bringing {Black Bracket} down.

Members of any gang are required to get their gang's symbol tattooed on their bodies to prove their loyalties. The tattoos go on places of meaning - 5liip had his brackets tattooed over his heart, one of his few remaining human pieces; Lobster had his brackets around his throat, because his voice was his best weapon; Dox gets his brackets tattooed on his palms, the hands he’s used to heal, & now the hands that have been burdened with this new weight.

Over time Dox becomes just as bad as 5liip had been in terms of reputation. He nearly sends {Black Bracket} into the ground on his own while struggling to learn how to run it, but after a massive gang fight with 7R0U8L3, {Black Bracket} surges to higher status than it had before. Dox’s name spreads like FIRE through the Undercity.

He starts playing around with people like 5liip had. In his last few moments, 5liip had made some comments that truly struck Dox, which plays a great part in why the whole thing stressed this poor mender out so bad. 5liip had essentially predicted that Dox would become just as bad, claiming the two of them held the same traits. …Dox spat they’d never be the same, but after reading all of 5liip’s folders and files, he began to understand what morphed the prior gang leader into who he was. Dox didn’t AGREE with it, tried to keep himself true to himself out of SPITE, but even in death 5liip’s a slippery bastard. Dox ends up creating and controlling events to affect people just as much as 5liip had.

in this verse, Dox changes his name to 54M54R4.

dox is an earthen deity of sorts .

in this verse, most of the magic users Dox encounters are referred to, most commonly, as witches - humans who practice magical arts, honing their skills in manipulating energies and elements. spells & rituals enhance their powers, some even turning towards darker paths, becoming warlocks & crafting pacts with powerful demonic forces in pursuit of more power.

however, these magic users are simply HUMANS, bearing human souls & limited by human boundaries---in this verse, dox is not hindered by such restrictions.

in this verse dox is a SHAMAN, a spirit tethered directly to the earth - with his connection to the deity GAIA, his magicks reach further than what nature-leaning witches can accomplish---instead of simply manipulating the earth, he's attuned to the forces of life, equipped with the powers to speak directly to that which is also tethered to the same source as his own soul. flora & fauna, his brothers & sisters & siblings ; the shaman is able to HEAL, both nature itself & anything for which exists off it. that said, he's limited simply to this brand of magicks - skilled beyond what a human can accomplish, though blocked from other types of wizardry.

dox is an OLD spirit, an entity who doesn't die & simply METAMORPHOSIZES when the equivalent of a human lifespan is up. it's essentially rebirth, the shaman having to relearn many of his old abilities each time ; however, with certain rituals, he's able to speak with past-lives & seek insight & advice.

dox lives alone in a cottage in the woods. he's got a sizeable garden & a large tree that's broken through the base of his home & shot through the roof. the entire forest of this area is his domain - there'd been a naturistic witch who'd owned it first, who took dox in, & who dox then later encased in the giant tree now shot through the cabin.

the shaman has taken the woods as his own. in this verse, his full name is PRAEDOXALTA.

AS ONCE BEFORE, SO AGAIN; 5liip has led charge in a second BREAK-OUT, though this one with more PERMANENT results.

WRONG PLACE, WRONG TIME; Dox gets caught up in the CROWD, pushed & shoved & shouldered out of the Undercity & into the city's middle levels ; in the PANIC & the HASTE & the tsunami of SLUMRATS at all sides, Dox is given no choice but to rise & RISE & eventually reach the SURFACE.

In this verse, Dox escapes the Undercity - & the city as a whole - & ventures forth in a terrifying new world with no idea how to navigate it. The one thing he knows for certain is that he hates the sun.

The city is surrounded on all sides by HARSH desert, the placement being located in Rub Al Khali ; with the aid of Sunshine Vagabonds - nomadic denizens who'd left the city & wander the wastes - Dox manages to survive long enough to make it to new civilization that he'd never even known EXISTED. Turns out, the Administrators were LYING when they'd claimed that their pristine oasis was the last society of humans.

dox exists in this verse with severe PTSD.

realized the other day that i could turn some other beloved NPCs into UC characters ,

JORA - pronounced 'yora' ; josef rakhaim . current brawl pits champion . seems intimidating & surly, but he's actually a nice dude. most jokes go right over his head, & his own sense of humor is Stupid . he wrote a book though ; an autobiography titled 'the heart of war.'

AVERY - rome avery altruis . he runs one of the very few little religious chapels in the UC, & he's the only member of the religion (-': it follows a goddess who is depicted as humanoid with an owl face . he's the most kind-hearted motherfucker in this place . his wife & daughter are on med-lev, he will never see them again - he got locked in, can't get back out . he has a disease that is killing him, it is incurable .
