[2025-06-02] This is Horse Stone at the top of the Upper Derwent Valley in the Peak District. I walked all the way up the valley from kings Tree. Gained the height up Hoar Clough and Shepherds Meeting Stones. Then south down Howden Edge for a bit until I went over to Horse Stone. Then it was back to Links Tree. Quite windy but the sun shone most of the time. A great walk.

[2025-05-28] This is Nelson's monument at Birchen Edge. For a change parked the car at roadside north of Birchen's Edge. Walked down Gardom's Edge, past the Robin Hood Pub and then up Birchen Edge to the monument and the 'Three Ships' rock formation. A lovely late spring day with great views over much of the Peak District

[2025-05-08] White Edge sits above Froggatt and Curbar Edges. Walked from the road junction at the north and then up onto the edge and walked along the top to the White Edge trig point. The great advantage of White Edge is the panorama. Sadly not a blue sky day but still great views. A great afternoon walk on the eastern edges of the Peak District.

(2025-02-14) A freezing walk up Stanage Edge. The cloud and mist that had been around for a week or so did go, out for a walk along Stange. Not the full length as it was so cold, made worse by the wind. But still a great day to be out.

(2025-02-03) View from the Derwent Edge. Walk from Fairholms. Initially walked around to the east side of the reservoir, then climbed uphill to the edge. A great walk along the edge past the well known rock features to Back Tor, lunch. From here walked to Lost Lad and then down the ridge to get back to Ladybower and around the road to Fairholms.

[2024-12-4] A misty and atmospheric morning in the Hope Valley. Walked from Castleton up to Lose Hill and onto Mam Tor. Mist came and went all the time. Walked back down the broken road rather than attempt Cave Dale on the slippy limestone.
