"what? she was crying?" it's the first he's heard of this, and having a nosy fan confront him about it and catch him off guard isn't the best way to find out. his eyes are darting around the venue, trying to spot his girlfriend before he's drawing his attention back to the fan. riley frowns. it's moments like now that esme wonders what she ever saw in carter bradshaw. what compelled her to pine over him, wonder what he was doing in a certain moment, and wait for him to text or call her back? she'd been so disgustingly pathetic over a guy who's only redeeming quality was his charming smile... and even that had lost its magic.

"i told you to stop calling me that." esme huffs, crossing her arms over her chest. the nickname did nothing to her heart anymore. if she wasn't also friends with seb, hudson, riley, and susan, there was no way esme would willingly be sitting in on band practice. esme frowns. it's not that she was upset or even surprised she was tied to rumours like these ( it's what came with publically dating carter ), but to think everyone thought she'd betray susan like this? yeah, that stung.
