Current Theories for Season 5

Thinking it'd be fun to post my theories before Gen V Season 2 and any plot points are released...

Soldier Boy is accidentally released from his cryotube (massive power cut/system failure)

His main goal for the season is to seek out and kill Butcher. He doesn't like Homelander, but he's not his primary focus.

He's more in control of his blast, but still struggles with PTSD.

He manages to locate Butcher, the two fight and Butcher ends up winning as Soldier Boy is completely unprepared for tentacles.

Soldier Boy is even more pissed and teams up with Homelander/ Vought

Homelander gloats that he's in charge of the US government and has so much power, but Soldier Boy still doesn't care.

Their main goal is finding and killing Butcher. They are aware of the virus and cannot let Butcher release it.

Homelander finds out Liberty/Stormfront is his biological mother.

Sage is Homelanders advisor and is secretly manipulating him.

She hates Humans and wants to eradicate/imprison them all. She's starting with Starlighters and then she'll find a reason to take down Homelander supporters.

There are Vernon Correctional Facilities/Freedom Camps across the US. One/Two in each state.

Cate dies in Gen V Season 2

Sam sides with Emma and Marie in Gen V Season 2

Starlight recruits the Gen V kids, and sets out to bring down the Freedom Camps.

MM and Frenchie are kept in ordinary Freedom Camps (different ones, though)

Kimiko is kept in a high security compound, or is constantly drugged to keep her docile and unable to fight

Hughie is kept in solitary, on Homelanders orders, or is kept somewhere secret (Homelander hates Hughie so he's gonna want to make his life hell)

All four are released by episode 2/3

Annie finds and rescues MM, Frenchie and Kimiko

Butcher rescues Hughie

Ashley has mental powers, she can manipulate people's feelings (but is still learning and not strong enough to target strong Supes). She's also physically strong

The Seven is no more, Vought/Homelander don't care about it anymore.

Butcher knows Hughie is the only person who still holds an ounce of empathy for him. So he'll manipulate that and try and get Hughie on his side.

Butcher and Hughie spend the majority of the season as a duo (unwilling on Hughies part). Butcher loses the plot and becomes obsessed with the virus. The cancer and Joe are messing with his mind.

Butcher contemplates giving Hughie V (this happens in the comics I think?) but he just uses it as a threat.

Sage gets killed by Homelander after he realises she's been manipulating him for her own agenda.

Deep gets killed by Annie

Noir gets killed by Ashley

Soldier Boy gets brain damaged (like Noir I)

Firecracker dies protecting Homelander (he doesn't care)

Ryan isn't strong enough to kill Homelander but he is strong enough to not get killed by him.

Death fake out for Hughie or Annie. An episode will end where we think they died

Butcher and Homelander fight (Scorched Erf Part II)

Butcher uses the virus against Homelander, in a closed off room (quarantine) so the virus cannot escape.

Butcher watches Homelander take his final breath and dies happy

FLASHFORWARD

Vought is under the sole control of Ashley

She reveals to the world that Homelander was AWFUL and a murderer, as well as releasing all the cover ups.

MM survives

Frenchie survives

Kimiko survives

Hughie survives

Annie survives

Ryan survives

Will any of this come true? Who knows, but I'm looking forward to reading this again in two years
