Setbacks of Piracy
We put our works with a whole lot of effort and time into it and it is based on our own creativity, imagination, and ideas. It will help not just to ourselves but for others and the whole world could even benefit from it in the right way. In which It is protected by intellectual property like copyright. As the internet gets wider today, one of its current issue that is rampant is piracy. It may be online or not, piracy has big effects on the market because it takes the original product and delivers it in a simple way or like pirated cd's they are cheaper than watching in cinemas or buying a subscription from Netflix and other legal multimedia platforms. Also, the things that are involved in this process are the manufacturer of the product because they won't sell it at their own price because pirated are cheaper. Piracy could also result in jail and trouble to the society.
It is an illegal and federal crime to make unauthorized copies of software especially movies etc. Which is under the Republic Act ( RA ) 10088 also known as " Anti Camrecording Act of 2010 ". People who are found guilty of the crime can be fined up to $250,000, and/or sentenced up to 5 years in prison. A Pirated system can also damage the user's computer that can be infected with serious viruses. According to the Directors Guild of America, Spain Italy and France are the three most impacted countries when it comes to retail revenue losses in Europe (2008) due to piracy. "375,000 number of jobs lost each year because of piracy, costing American workers $16 billion in earnings" (DGA,2010). It disrespects or doesn’t give value to the owner’s efforts and their creation. So, lets us be fair and help our government in putting a stop to this cause how would you feel if your work is taken by others and they get the benefit to it?

“The Invisible Bridge Between Us”
The pandemic gave us such hard times to cope with our teacher, classmates, schoolmates, crushes or whoever that are "digitally" far away from us is getting to our minds that we do miss them dearly. Because of this, we experimented a lot of things virtually to keep in touch with them although only through online activities. As a student and a social being now, we are faced with a common interest through the influence of social media in order to cope up with the gap of digital divide. We need to increase our digital literacy. Digital Divide may do have a lot of pros but cons do too like lack of connection, internet or data especially that we don’t have much signal here in our country. This gap between us may be a nuisance for some cases but still have benefits we gathered because technology makes our lives easier. It helps us to understand what’s happening although we don’t need the old, traditional way like using radios and televisions.
We need to be more virtually alert nowadays because news are mostly now on the social media where we could easily get access from the outside world. It's not only about social media but a deeper understanding to what is happening in our society. First, we must learn the concept and how to access through the technologies. Next, is we provide operational incentives because we are in the world where social media exist and on a click we knew what is happening in the world today. And lastly, develop a relevant content in addition to telecommunications infrastructure in order to calculate gains and lost. Moreover, let us also make use of the available digitals according to its functions, productions and outcomes while these are still useful. Also, let us increase our skills in managing these available digital technology to maximize its purpose and applications in the present platform.

The more we engage ourselves into reading, the more we would enhance our creativity with words as well. With the use of technology nowadays we have better access with everyone but the cons in it is because of social media, a lot of people spread false rumors or news. Media is very useful to each and everyone expecially in this new generation which millenials can use it for school purposes, fun, work, can communicate to people you love that are far away from us. Being a media and information literate individual means that you can interpret and understand on the things that you looked upon different sources from different types of media where you get information. Either, it can be traditional or new. With that acquired skill, you have the ability to evaluate this information and spread or share to anyone you want. As a media and information literate individual, you express your thoughts and opinions in what you believe in carried with the responsibility of being a writer or a literate person. Especially today that we need everyone to be a media and information literate individual cause the internet or social medias today are getting wider and lots of people are sharing and spreading information without assurance and it is difficult to identify if these information are credible or accurate. Cause we don’t want people get affected of misunderstandings, confusion or be fooled by these fake or wrong information.
