Let me tell you a little story. I was standing in line at dollar general today and there were 2 cashiers checking customers out. Customer in the first line paid with a check. Cashier in the first line was noticeably newly trained. Instead of hitting whatever button she needed to to feed the check through the machine she instead hit “cash”, stalling the transaction. Cashier #1 had to call cashier #2 to fix it for her. I was in the second line. Second cashier fixed first cashiers problem and the elderly gentleman checked out. Second cashier came back to me apologizing. For what? The wait? See, I am a very patient person but I wasn’t always. Lack of patience will cost you more in this life than it would if you practiced being patient. Lack of patience fuels tempers and it throws your mood off if only for a few minutes and maybe even the entire day if things don’t go the way you planned. Many have complained when things like that happened. I stayed quiet in line with my items when seemingly every other customer in the store was complaining. What good would it have done to complain? Nothing good comes from lack of patience. Practice being patient. ❤️
