Kanohi Karvahi - Mask of Synthetic Reality

The Kanohi Karvahi is a legendary mask that combines the powers of Creation, Charisma, Illusion, Gravity, Telepathy, and the projection of Alternate Futures — merging several powerful Great Mask abilities into one.

Similar to the Golden Kanohi (which fused six Great Masks into a single form), the Karvahi grants access to multiple powers. However, unlike the Golden Kanohi — which allowed only one ability to be used at a time — the Karvahi lets the user activate two or more powers simultaneously, at the cost of intense concentration, much like how the Kanohi Mohtrek strains users who summon multiple past selves.

The Karvahi’s Creation power is based on the Mask of Creation, one of the three Legendary Kanohi, linking the Karvahi partly to the same power level as other legendary masks. It specializes in manipulating perception, crafting synthetic realities, subtly influencing thought, and altering experiences — but it cannot change true physical reality or force beings to betray their moral core.

The Karvahi is on a league of its own, in both power and craftsmanship: it is only right that its origins are shrouded in mystery like the phantom ruby. The only possible explanation for its existence would be that a user of the Olmak, mask of dimensional gates, goes to an alternate universe where The Shattering (Spherus Magna breaking into three worlds) didn’t happen yet where they can commission the great beings to make the mask of synthetic reality. It may take some convincing, but if the great beings can make crazy things like the Mata Nui Robot and the Ignika, then nothing should stop them. Maybe the Olmak user gives something to the great beings in return for creating the Karvahi, such is the relationship between commissioner and artist, buyer and seller.

Trivia:

• Inspired by the Phantom Ruby from Sonic Forces.

• Its name can be interpreted as “to carve new sight” or “reshape vision” in Proto-Matoran.
