Get ready for a huge paradigm shift.
Coming to terms with this being the last tour I’ll be able to follow Ghost.
I’ve started exploring the Chicago death metal scene recently. Really digging it. I need to be more rooted, and while I love traveling and making connections with people who love Ghost as much as I do, it’s not really possible for me anymore. It’s getting expensive, and I have to start being more of an adult.
Just this year I’ve moved out of my parent’s house, stopped eating meat, lost 25 lbs, and this is all since the last time I saw Ghost back in September.
I really neglected myself. But on the other hand - I’m experienced more than I ever imagined. I went to places I never thought I’d go. I went to Europe twice in the same year.
It’s no secret that I come from an extremely poor family. There have been plenty of people who pass judgement too quickly and assume I’m some leech and I can afford to do this on my parent’s money - that isn’t the case at all. I did this all by myself. I’m not really sure why that’s relevant anymore, but I worked really hard to do what I’ve done and make myself happy.
I was so happy, and I still am. But again - it’s getting expensive and I have to be an adult. I’ve finally escaped an incredibly toxic environment and Ghost helped me find the courage to do that.
So while many of you won’t necessarily see me at Ghost shows, I’ll still be around. Just more rooted in Chicago.
It’s really a bittersweet thing for me. Watching this band grow and evolve into something monstrous and wonderful was an experience I always dreamed of having. They’ve made it, and I was along for a good chunk of the ride. That feels good.
I’ll always have that to hang onto.

The Cactus Cat is a feline-like cryptid found in the Southwestern United States. The Cactus Cat is a medium cat-like creature usually dark in color with black thorns all over its body and a branch-like tail, The Cactus Cat usually cuts open a cactus and sleeps inside it to avoid the heat it then eats the bugs inside and drink the cactus juice. The Cactus Cats mate for life and during mating season two males fight to the death over a female.
