The universe has a way of speaking to me when I need to read or hear something the most. I picked up @brenebrown new book, "Braving the wilderness" the other day and I couldn't have done so sooner. To be completely honest, I have been feeling so lost and confused about the direction of my life. Ironically enough right after I decided to teach yoga full time. I have felt numerous times that I don't belong in the yoga world even though it's what truly speaks to my soul. I have felt this because I have been comparing myself to all the other yoga teachers I see in town or on Instagram and all other forms of social media. I am NOT your fancy yoga teacher who can do handstands, or arm balances, or even touch my toes on certain occasions. I can't do the splits. I can't do Bird of Paradise. I can barley even do Downward Dog on some days. I feel like I a phony, a fraud, and not a "real" yoga teacher because I cannot do those things. I don't have thousands of followers on Instagram and on some days I can't even get people to come into my classes. I feel like I failing. I feeling discourage and heart broken that what I wanted so bad to be a reality is so far out of reach that it doesn't even seem like a possibility anymore. I feel like an outsider and that I really don't belong in this community of yoga teachers. I don't know where I fit and there lies the problem. I have NEVER fit in anywhere. I have always stuck out and been different from a vey young age. My mom has told me for as long as I can remember, "Jenny, you have always just marched to your own beat. You always have. You hear music others can't hear" Fucking great. No kid wants to stick out and be different. Or at least I sure as hell didn't. I was a target from the start. I was bullied and at times felt God was punishing me for being so sensitive. I still to this day struggle with being who I am. It is still hard feeling like you don't fit in anywhere and are so misunderstood. And as I sit here reading Brene Browns words and a quote by Mayo Angelo, it finally clicks. Stand in YOUR truth. Stand in your Power. Do not be moved.

My journey throughout these past few years has been nothing short of incredible. Some amazing highs and some really low, lows. Riding that wave of life and this crazy little adventure that universe has in store for me. I haven't told most people but I decided to pursue my career in teaching yoga full time starting well....TOMORROW actually. 🙃 I will be focusing mainly on teaching at Pure Healing Yoga Studio and continuing to pursue my education as a yoga teacher. I have truly found what lights my soul on fire. My passion and sheer wonder for the healing properties that yoga has brought into my life has guided me into wanting to share this beautiful practice and lifestyle with anyone who is willing. So with that...here is to the next chapter is this beautiful crazy story of mine. You can find my full time schedule posted on the Pure Healing Yoga website and you can downloaded the Mind Body App to easily access the schedule on your phone. I will be teaching a variety of classes and am excited to be offering a beginners class on Monday's at 7:30pm, Hip Hop Yoga will now be moved to a later time on Tuesday's and will begin at 7:15pm, a bunch of Vinyasa Classes throughout the week are now added to the schedule and of course my Yin Yoga Class on Sunday's at 7:15pm. Thank you everyone who has supported my decision to pursue yoga full time! I am so blessed and so so grateful for each and every one of you! I look forward to seeing familiar and new faces in class! On Friday, I had the most beautiful opportunity to teach a class to awesome youth (and their leaders) of the HRDC Youth Development Program here in Bozeman. The Youth Development Program is actually where I did my internship as a MSU student for my undergrad in Family and Consumer Sciences a couple years prior. If you haven't heard of this amazing program, please go check it out! It is vital for our youth and our community. The endless amount of hard work that the HRDC staff puts into enriching the lives of these youth I don’t believe get nearly enough recognition. So please support this amazing local program! I have to admit that teaching the Youth yesterday was hands down one of my favorite classes to teach so far. I could tell that the youth were a tad bit nervous and a little apprehensive to try some yoga but as the class went on and I turned up the Hip Hop beats, their apprehension turned into smiles and then into lots of laughs. I am so happy I could give back to my community and to such an amazing group of individuals. I feel so blessed and my heart is BURSTING with gratitude and lots and lots of LOVE <3 Thank you, @bozeman_hrdc for bringing such beautiful souls into the studio ✨I hope to see you all again soon!
