Talk about enthusiasm

In the final episode kiss Lucy is basically tugging Kate towards her, iron hands on Kate’s face pulling her down, it’s a miracle the poor woman stays standing!!!

Last 2 eps

Tonight’s ep in a nut shell:  Kate will be triggered to do a grand gesture and Lucy will turn her back on it. Hence, Kate decides to leave. Pain for K. 

Final ep: Lucy freaks out when she finds out Kate wants to leave. Pain for Lucy. Lucy changes her mind and reconciles with Kate. End of season

When the angst goes on for too long...

If Lucy turns down Kate after she tells her she loves her, then I think Kate can find better. Too much, too long and because of a person Kate hadn’t seen in months.

Even under the ‘lost trust’ point of view that Lucy may have, her reactions and behaviour seem exaggerated. At this point if she is so angry/hurt/not willing to resume the relationship, Lucy should just stop but by stop it means she doesn’t treat Kate as she has been doing, it means a clear cut. Professional and detached interactions. The woman (who is the most ambitious in the team ) turned down a promotion for her and her response was getting angry because Kate didn’t tell her. Tell her when if after the Cara-Gate she couldn’t get in two full words? 

It was fun the first few eps after the break up but now it’s getting a bit repetitive, especially because we are going nowhere. I am also not enjoying much how KW’s character is being demolished bit by bit. I preferred her being blunt and strictly professional. There is certainly an element of guilt on Kate’s part for not sharing with Lucy the existence of Cara or the promotion but there are justifications:

1. Cara was considered a past and closed relation and they did not discuss past relationships with each other.

2. They hadn’t at that point discussed the status of their own relationship

3. Saying she had turned down the promotion at that stage and without a proper relation talk beforehand, would have been putting pressure on the other part, something it is clear Kate never does, not even when she tries to talk to Lucy and is shut down.

Lucy on the other side, puts a lot of weight and pressure on Kate. She expected a full relationship but had not discussed this with Kate yet. And she would have got it if only they would have had that talk. But they hadn’t. Not even Lucy had brought the topic up. And then Cara came in at a very wrong time (drama necessity!).  Lucy also has to realise that people are different and react differently.

I do like Lucy but the attitude they have given her, especially in these last 2/3 eps, make her quite less likeable.

Also, who, after seeing the person they love get hurt, almost die, left injured, would drop on her more aggravation and guilt to then leave them there to get home God knows how, and then be fine to go on a date with some woman they only just met? I find that quite strange.

NCIS hawaii ep 17

I think they are dragging this storyline a bit much. I enjoyed the ep but there are elements that baffle me.

In the car scene, Lucy says Kate broke her heart, isn’t that an ILY? How else can one get their heart broken if not by the person they love? And in that case, why didn’t Kate take the moment to say the ILY too? That conversation was intense enough for that. Kate also admitted she was scared Lucy would call it off definitely if she did, another clear sign of being in love. That scene kind of stopped abruptly.

The Office scene was kind of a repeat with Kate this time saying what Lucy wanted to hear  (good) and again declaring her love -indirectly but that’s what it was when she said those words to Lucy. And Lucy  just walks away after the hug. Again this feels suddenly cut short.

So, why all this dragging on? Is it to have a full disclosed iLY  in the last ep? Ep 22 seems too far away to stretch this until then. Let’s say they will reconcile earlier than ep 22, a reciprocal ILY at this point is necessary for the reconciliation. 

What will that last ep scene we saw photographs of be if they are already together? It can’t be another ily. I am now wondering if maybe one of the two actresses is actually leaving the series so the last interaction will in fact be a goodbye rather than a reconciliation. Maybe an offer to work somewhere else, I am leaning towards Kate...This prolongation feels forced, that is why I am thinking about different potential outcomes.Hopefully I am wrong as it would be nice to get to know the respective families, background and life together in the second series. Let me know what you think might happen.

Questions

I do love the show but still think that all the fuss Lucy is creating for a relationship that Kate thought was done and dusted - proof is she moved to Hawaii alone and had no contact with Cara -is a bit (much) stretched. Lucy also not very professional making everybody, not only Kate,  uncomfortable with her attitude. She has had some time to think about it so she should now talk to Kate so that she can then say hi or bye once and for all.

Also, what will happen in ep 17? Will they talk and resolve some issues?  Maybe they will decide to be more professional (Lucy I mean)? Maybe they might even half hook up only for Lucy to then back out again? I am thinking of  a tentative kiss in that elevator...! They can’t be resolving everything next week as we know that in ep 19 Lucy breaks down with Ernie and goes to see a kahuna. So full resolution must, by logic, be after that. Therefore, the angst will continue. 🙄

I really hope that no kids nor sad dead brother story appears on the remaining eps. Get them back together slowly and then let’s start finding out more about their past and respective families and how they met. That will give enough content to cover a good half of season 2, then they can (and will) break them up again and have them get back together again... and so on!

Kacy reconciliation

Between 17-19 it will be Kate trying again to explain/apologise (for the umpteenth time...🙄), Lucy saying no (for the umpteenth time...🙄), then get back on speaking but only on professional  terms but that’s it.

Something happens.

I can see the season finale reconciliation being Lucy going to Kate’s apartment to apologise for having shut her down and admit she does want to get back together.  

Just as it started, it will end, in the hallway. A full circle.
