gswxjun:
There was something about this little island far away from home. Peaceful slumber had laid down on Gwasuwon Island like a thick veil, unlike Seoul that seemed to be as restless as Jun. And even, when insomnia was still his life-long companion, running in the middle of the night, bright stars above, ocean breeze pushing from behind, was soothing, was calming his soul. He loved the small neighbourhood, adored the little community that seemed untainted by the evil of the world. Or at least, he believed so naively and good-hearted as he was.
Jun was by far not a foolish man, his kindness however often let him oversee the dark. He simply trusted everyone to have some good left deep inside, no matter what. And so he sensed no danger nor fear, when he came upon that tall, charismatic looking man with an incredibly high nose bridge.
Instead, he went to nod his head friendly and gentle smile on his lips, when he approached him slowly in the dark. Then he stopped in his walk, blinking at the other. “Sorry? Kids? I-” Confusion about his mistaken age quickly passed, when the emergency surgeon noticed some blood on the stranger. The night was pitchblack and the alleys were just sparsely illuminated, but Jun could still make out a faint, light red colour. And in the doctor’s conclusion it usually meant a fresh wound, which had potentially injured an artery.
So he was quick to act, ignoring the comment about looking like a kid to the other for now and grabbing the man by his right arm. “Excuse me, sir, but you need to come with me to the hospital. I’ll need to take a look at your body.” He probably wasn’t as strong as the much taller guy, but when it came to patients, it was as if more strength than usually flowed through his veins. Jun dragged him along.
Why hadn't you just written him off as being some crazy newcomer and simply shook your head before continuing on your way? Why did you have to stop and acknowledge his existence? Sunghoon was mentally kicking himself for saying anything at all. Maybe if he had just kept his mouth shut and shuffled awkwardly down the street, then you would have crossed to the other side and left him alone. Clearly unimpressed with his decision, he clicks his tongue and looks to the side. If he was lucky, then avoiding eye contact with you long enough would result in your disappearance. Maybe if he just didn’t engage at all, then you’d get bored and leave.
Why did people only leave him when he didn’t want them to? Everyone who he had ever loved decided to leave. But of course, a stranger who was inconveniencing him didn’t have the common sense to mind his own business and leave him alone. “Come on, you’re a young guy. You shouldn’t be out at this time anyways. Don’t you watch the news at all? Hurry up and go home before you become another statistic.” He aggressively waves his hand in the air, hoping that his act would at least convince you to smarten up and walk away. Why did he always have to bump into morons who couldn’t get the hint?
His eyes widen as soon as you reach out towards him. What the hell was your problem? Was this some kind of punishment some bad deed that he had already forgotten about doing? If so, then he was ready to go on the straight and narrow if it meant getting as far away from you as possible. “Hey! Is going around and grabbing strangers some weird hobby of yours? And here I was starting to think that this place was safe from and weirdos.”

THE UNWANTED GUEST — SOLO
Sunghoon was starting to realize that living alone had its perks. He was able to spend his time as he pleased and didn’t have to worry about explaining his whereabouts to anyone. Yet, there was something about coming back to an empty and dark apartment that was so foreign to him. While the pressure of having to act a certain way while at home was now nonexistent, he could start to feel the loneliness creeping up on him. No matter how far he tried to keep himself from the negative energy, it was always just one step behind him. Although, given the circumstances of what had led up to his new home life, something as trivial as feeling lonely was the least of his worries. There were other things keeping him occupied.
He was on day three of little sleep and was starting to feel more miserable as the minutes went by. Sitting at the small table near the kitchen of his apartment, he lets out a loud yawn before lazily slumping forward. “So much for living alone.” He grumbles, raising his hand to give himself a swift smack on the forehead. What had he done to deserve such a troubled life? Well, it would only take a quick look on the surface to have the answer laid out plain and simple. But Sunghoon was all too good at hiding from the truth. “Can’t you just leave me alone?”
Sure, Sunghoon had been living alone ever since he had started his new life on the island, but that hadn’t stopped a certain someone from making himself at home in the small apartment. Whenever he thought that he’d have a moment to himself, the bloodied man would appear in the corner of Sunghoon’s eye. Even in the solitude of his own place, he was always being watched. Always being criticized. To his dismay, the man had become bolder and was starting to show up much more frequently than before. It had gotten to the point where he was afraid to look in the mirror since he wasn’t sure which face would be there staring back at him. He could feel his grasp on reality slipping even further.

A FAMILIAR STRANGER — @gswmyunghwa
For once, Sunghoon was prepared to be grateful. Integrating himself into life on the island had gone smoothly enough. Then again, there wasn’t much keeping it from going well. How would a bunch of nobodies on a practically deserted island know anything about who was wanted by the police all the way in Gwangju? It would be impossible. So as long as he was welcomed as Kim Sunghoon, then he considered it to be a peaceful enough transition. The beginning of his new life. One that was bound to be different than what he was used to.
He was determined to keep to himself as much as possible. There were too many risks that came with getting too close with other people. Too many secrets that could come to light. Sunghoon wasn’t exactly worried about missing out on making friends if it meant making his life easier in the long run. Besides, there was something about some of the locals that made him uneasy. Why was there always talk about odd things going on? Was it because they all had slow internet and couldn’t entertain themselves like those in the city took for granted? Though he couldn’t complain about it himself, he was ready to accept it as fact rather than think about the other possibilities any longer. It all made his head spin.
In fact, he was almost starting to regret leaving his apartment at all. The chance of hearing about another ridiculous local superstition tempted Sunghoon to turn around and head back the way he had came, but as much as the tales bothered him, they couldn’t alleviate his hunger. It had been the sight of his still empty fridge that had prompted him to finally get out and take a quick trip to the nearest store. What was the worst that could happen in such a short amount of time? While he was content that no mythical creatures had burst out from the bushes and ruined his leisurely stroll, a sense of dread washed over him as he happened to glance ahead. Were you stalking him? There had to be something wrong with you, right? There was no way that you were just coincidentally bumping into him.
Stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, he stares ahead at you, clearly displeased. “Your life can’t possibly be so boring that you have to follow the new guy around everywhere he goes. Isn’t there someone more interesting around here that you could become infatuated with?”

AN UNWELCOMED ENCOUNTER — @gswxjun
His night had been nothing but one big ordeal. Why couldn’t things just be simple for once? Everything would have gone so smoothly if that lowlife had just coughed up the rest of his debt. Sunghoon could’ve been back at his place and enjoying the evening in peace. But, of course, that wasn’t the case. It was late into the night, and Sunghoon, now tired and disheveled, was slowly strolling down a quiet street, hoping to get back home without incident.
When he first arrived on the island a couple of months ago, it had been his intention to keep his head down and simply coexist amongst the other inhabitants. That only lasted a couple of weeks before the desire for more kicked in. That voice in the back of his head had spoken up and criticized the way that he was living. How he had gone from having so much to suddenly having nothing. It just wasn’t fair. He deserved to live more comfortably, didn’t he? The voice disagreed, but Sunghoon had gotten better at ignoring it. It was only when the deep voice took form that he became aware of his own depravity.
But for now, he was alone. There were times when his solitude brought him comfort. When he didn’t have to pretend to be someone that he wasn’t. It was a chance to lower his guard. But, at the same time, whenever he returned to his dark and quiet apartment, it reminded him of all that he lost and how little he had now. It was almost like, each time he walked through the door, the world was mocking him. Then again, he never really was truly alone, was he? Sometimes, out of the corner of his eye, he’d catch a glimpse of the same blood-soaked man.
“Ah, shit.” He suddenly exclaims, stopping in place. He had gotten so wrapped up in his own thoughts, that he hadn’t been paying attention to where he was going. He must’ve missed his usual side street since none of his surroundings looked familiar. Grumbling incomprehensively under his breath, Sunghoon pulls his phone from his pocket. He was actively praying that there’d be enough signal nearby to pull up a map when he noticed a dark figure walking towards him.
was it him?
Tightening his grip on the phone, he locks it before slowly walking towards the stranger. He was fully prepared to see the same gruesome face with the pained expression that he had unwillingly become so familiar with. Clenching his teeth, Sunghoon quickens his pace, on the verge of confronting the lifeless man and demanding that he leave him alone once and for all. But as soon as he got close enough, he froze again. It wasn’t who he had been expecting at all. Quickly putting his hands on his hips, he glances around hectically, trying to come up with an impromptu excuse for his behavior. “Hey. Don’t you know that it’s dangerous to be walking around this late at night? Gosh, kids these days. No wonder the crime rates are so high.”

hello everyone! i’m melody and i’m looking forward to bringing cho juhyeok kim sunghoon to life! it’s been a while since i’ve put so much thought and effort into a muse, so i’m hoping to plot with whoever is willing! here’s a bit more information on the mysterious man who just recently wandered onto the island:
sunghoon’s basic info:
if you’re looking for any information on a man known as cho juhyeok, you won’t find it here. sunghoon’s never heard of anyone by that name. you might have to keep digging to uncover the truth. . .
he’ll tell you that he was born on december 6, 1981.
don’t bother asking him what he does for a living. you’ll probably end up getting a different story each time. but if you’re ever in need of money, he might be able to help you out. don’t bother squinting too hard when trying to read the fine print in whatever contract he slides your way. there’s barely any interest that you’ll have to worry about.
he’s only been on the island for the past month, so he’s still unfamiliar with many of the people or popular places. but as time goes on, he’ll be making an effort to appear as a normal member of the small community.
classified:
if you’re into investigating, then you might be able to uncover the fact that there is no kim sunghoon. no such man exists. you’re actually standing face-to-face with cho juhyeok.
a former english professor at chonnam national university, he was a man who had it all.
he was married for five years and even welcomed a daughter into the world.
but it only took one night for it all to be taken away from him.
cho juhyeok: now wanted in gwangju for drunk driving, fleeing the scene of an accident, and vehicular manslaughter.
it only took the university until the next day to realize that a large sum of money had been stolen the same night. after investigating the cctv, it was clear who had stolen it.
but by the time his face hit the news, cho juhyeok no longer existed.
possible plots:
though he tries his best to hide his only identity as much as possible, you manage to catch some inconsistencies in his stories. what will you do with this intuition? approach him with your thoughts? try to find more proof? the choice is yours.
sunghoon finds out that you could use some extra money. due his generous nature, he offers you a large sum without any hesitation and wishes you the best. but by the end of the month, the smiling face and kind nature have become the complete opposite. how did he find your address? it’s probably not something he’ll forget until you pay him back double for all the trouble that you’ve put him through.
these are just some generic ideas and i’m hoping to come up with some more as time goes on! my messages are also open if you’re interested in plotting with me!
