Hi. I am printing and binding some fanfics for my personal collection and was wondering if it'd be okay to do yours?

hi! thanks for asking! i have mixed feelings about my works being printed. i hate the thought of a printed copy ending up circulating in non-fan spaces (if it gets donated or lost). i'd prefer it stay on ao3 only for that reason :)

wow what a sweet ask! i wrote my first fanfic when I was 11 and have been writing both fiction and nonfiction in some form basically constantly since then - it's always been a hobby and practice. i studied fiction writing in high school and college too. and now i write more than ever! i love it!

(fyi, i don't update this side blog anymore, but I still get all asks/notifs!)

Jaskier’s student doesn’t see him when she skids into the tavern. Her friends are already present, drinking merrily, and she slaps their table so hard their tankards rattle.

“Have you heard?“ She flashes a gossiper’s secretive grin. "The White Wolf’s gone mad.”

After Geralt sends Jaskier away, Jaskier returns to Oxenfurt and builds a good (albeit unfulfilling) life there. He’s fine—moving on, truly—until gut-wrenching rumors start to circulate that the White Wolf’s lost his his mind. Jaskier’s a bard. A truth-teller. He can’t just let the rumors go unsubstantiated.

Jaskier strums a chord. “Plenty of things. You always ask the contractor if they want the head or not instead of just showing up with it, because you don’t want to shock people. You eat normal amounts of food when eating in public, instead of your usual awe-inducing giant amount. You sleep more when you’re hurt, but that’s the only way I’d ever know. You’re a bit weird about your potions and you count them a lot.” He glances up and grins. “Shall I continue?”

A handful of contracts go sideways. Recovering is easier with Jaskier there.

my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice

For some reason I‘m very disappointed with season 2 and wanted to tell you that your Witcher fics, which I‘ve gratefully devoured over the weekend as consolation, are amazing and this is the most believable Geralt POV I‘ve seen so far. Are you by any chance planning to write more for this fandom?

yeah i've dipped in to season 2 and it's just like...man this show is not good jfsklfjesfsej it's such a shame bc the world/characters are so compelling but the actual narrative sucks. i dunno if i'll be writing more, i have to finish the season and then see if my brain starts generating content. if you have an account on ao3 you may have noticed that my fic attentions have been ummmm elsewhere. thanks for the kind words. manifesting more stunted sub geralt in the fic world
