Okay but the problem here is that the companies almost certainly make enough profits to cover the increased wages without increasing the price of food. If you increase both, the wage increase means nothing because the increase that the workers are receiving is simply eaten up by the increased prices (because they'll be happening everywhere, not just at the business they work for) ultimately resulting in artificial inflation and more profits for the wealthy.

I'll gladly pay 25¢ more for a double cheeseburger if it means the workers get paid a decent wage.

Also, price increases happen all the time even when wages do not increase.
