MATLINGSWORTH HAVE MY HEART. Best ship should’ve stayed together. I hate Zig I hate Tristan. So we know that at the very end of the degrassi franchise Triles and Zaya are both broken-up, Tristan is recovering from the bus crash and undecided on his university, Maya and Zig are both also undecided on where they’re going for university and go on a road trip together and Miles is attending London Writers Academy.

So i have my own ‘after-degrassi’ ending:

Tristan makes a full recovery and decides to go back to Paris and pursue Drama and Fashion at LISAA academy. Zig and Maya part ways after 4 weeks of their road trip as Zig wants to go to Vancouver to pursue mechanics and robotics. Maya heads to New York for a long visit to her sister Katie who’s a soccer star.

Maya ends up performing an original song at a bar in Greenwich Village at an open mic night and meets a famous music producer from London who offers her a record deal there. So Maya packs up and moves to London to kickstart her singing career.

So she’s strolling around Carnaby street late one night with her flat mates and music friends and they find a random pub to drink in and she goes to the bar to order looks to her left and sees Miles sitting on the stool next to her nursing a glass of scotch:

‘Miles?’ She looks at him incredulously at him and he looks back at her then smiles ‘Oh my god...Maya. What are you doing here?’ he takes a sip of his drink before she responds. ‘I live here. I’ve got a record label with a producer who scouted me in New York but the record company are based here so i moved. I cant believe it. How’s the writers academy?’ He shuffles up next to her making her blush before staring at her once more ‘That’s amazing amd uhm oh the academy? you know...British.’ miles concludes and maya pursed her lips and orders a cocktail before turning back to him ‘Any girls or guys?’

‘There have been some flings with girls but nothing special. But you know I don’t think I’m really into guys anymore Maya. Not since Tristan.’ Maya looked at him brows furrowed as she was given her drink by the bartender ‘Really?’ Miles nods ‘Yeah but I don’t wanna talk about that I’m more interested in what you’ve been up to. So, how about it? Is Zig waiting for you back home like he was in 10th grade.’ Miles nudged her shoulder ‘Nope, Zig and I haven’t been together since 12th grade. Sure, we went on a road trip but it was purely platonic. I’m single, besides I think I’m gonna settle down and look for someone here instead.....Unless you’re waiting out university to back and try to fix things with Tristan.’ She stared him deep in the eyes as she took a sip from her cocktail glass.

His lips parted as he took in the sight of her. Maya had matured so much since he last saw standing on the stage at graduation, singing. ‘I can assure you Tristan and I are well and truly over. I will never go back to him. What him and I had was amazing and I’ll always appreciate it but like I really am over guys. Anyway, it’s just like you said, settling down here and finding someone is the plan for me too.’ he smirked at her. She leaned in closer to his face ‘How do you plan on finding someone you want Miles?’ he looked towards the floor and then back up at Maya ‘By doing, this.’ He grabbed her waist and pulled her against him before placing his lips on hers to which she happily reciprocated and they ended back at miles’ own apartment sleeping together.

‘I can’t believe we never slept together when we were dating.’ maya laughed as she cuddled closer to miles pulling the sheets further up to them. ‘Hey, we almost did, remember? When we were naked in my pool before we were rudely interrupted by my dad and his campaign manager.’ she laughed ‘God it seems like a lifetime ago..I wish we’d had done.’ Miles chucked and smiled down at Maya and squeezed her tighter in his arms. ‘I’m glad we found one another again. Look, I was serious when we talked about settling down. When we broke up my feelings for you never stopped. Sure ,Tristan came along, but I still loved you. This entire time I was just too afraid that I’d never get this opportunity with you ever again so I just pushed my feelings down. But when we talked at graduation that small reminiscence of what we had...I couldn’t ignore those feelings. I can’t believe I’ve got you back. God you’re so beautiful.’ he cupped her cheek.

Maya smiled and pulled him on top of her for a deep kiss. ‘You’re quite pretty too.’ she giggled before continuing ‘I’m so happy I have you back also. My relationship with Zig was nowhere near as romantic or loving as ours was. He was boring and a good placeholder but my mind always took me back to you. Then you began dating my ex bestfriend and well... then you were on my mind, constantly wishing that I was the one in your arms. Because...I love you Miles.’ He blushed and kissed maya once more ‘I love you too maya. And I am so happy that you are the one in my arms from now on...forever.’

yeh so lols basically maya and miles move in together into Miles’ apartment and he actually helps her write her music and she plays the guitar softly while he works on his uni exams. Eventually miles graduates and works for the BBC and Maya is now a famous musician. He proposes to her and they get married and have a baby a year later, naming her Margot Hollingsworth.

Heard about this situation with matthew. I wanted no part of it and was going to silently remove myself from any support towards him. I wasn’t gonna address this and I cried and was entirely disgusted as I believed the so called ‘victim’. Through this new information I am now disgusted with this girl who made this awful rumour and feel so much sympathy for matthew. He does not deserve this. The fact she made this up is beyond gross and as a SA victim, jokes about it makes us feel belittled against our REAL fucking experiences

The fandom is another problem...so fucking toxic and the way people slated him...christ. But the biggest problem is this girl she has inflicted so much pain I can’t even imagine how matthew and sa vitcims feel right now.

A piece of shifting advice:

don’t listen to half the ‘shifting advice’ you get given unless proved true. Do your own thing. Try, fail, fail better, succeed after many or little attempts. DO WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL MOST COMFORTABLE. AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HECATE, do not listen to 70% of what you hear on tiktok unless you have found reliable resources. A lot of these people have done whats works best FOR THEM. and that’s really what it’s all about.

you have to stay still when trying to shift:

what utter bollocks you can move as much as u like. It’s all about making yourself comfortable and if your not then move about until you are bestie✌🏻

you have to keep your eyes closed:

no no no. There are many methods where that is not required. Honestly you don’t have to do this.

doubts and insecurities of shifting block you from shifting:

This is not at all true. You can play with those doubts and identify them and challenge them, you CAN shift with doubt.

you can’t shift without an intention:

bollocks. Course you can. You can just think about your DR and everything you wanna do. Or if you have enough belief in yourself, which you don’t even have to have either you can shift.

You have to use a method:

Oh piss off no you don’t. Found a reliable tiktokker who just visualised her dr enough that she just shifted. You can literally shift any way you want if you know what u want.

you have to visualise:

NO! An extremely helpful tip that i’ve often used as I have trouble visualising sometimes is listening to subliminals with field sounds or hogwarts school sounds, really making myself believe i’m there and focusing on those sounds.

you need subliminals:

Hell no. You can shift just as easily without. However I do recommend them but they really are not needed. Defo would recommend to non visualisers but it’s really what is best for you.

Shifting is a process that is different for every person. You will shift it will absolutely happen there is no way that it can’t you just haven’t found what works best for you and that’s okay cause you will! 💘
