Finally! Someone is giving the master adventurers the attention they deserve! Marlon looks like he cares about Aderyn a lot; if he's willing to give her the loft. What's their relationship like?

              You could say it’s more of a “disgruntled distant relative” sort of relationship — Aderyn had been completely nomadic from birth to present until sometime in the past five years, but she would cross paths with Marlon and occasionally Gus from time to time. Each surprise encounter was met with varying levels of concern from the veteran adventurers, given that every time they saw her she would be donning some fresh battle wounds with an inappropriate amount of pride. Five years ago she self-appointed herself “Guild Master” to the abandoned adventurers guild deep in the mountains; which had given Marlon and Gus some comfort. Now that Aderyn finally had a place to call home, maybe she wouldn’t be running into (or seeking) trouble as much. She would frequently send letters to them updating on her new life in the snowy peaks, and that only solidified her place in their hearts.

tldr; annoying elf(?) annoys two dudes to the point where they deal with her lol (but they care, a lot)

Marlon’s seen that face before — a grief fueled concoction of anger and fear. A sigh escapes his lips, and Marlon offers his hand to take the horse’s reins.  “There’s a loft up top,” His voice, through rugged with age, was gentle - almost a near whisper as the elven woman before him gives up the leather reins she had been so tightly gripping to on her way to the valley, “It’s yours.”
