Steve using some of that money that's been piling up in his bank account during all his years on ice to commission current musicians to cover songs he remembers spilling out in dance halls--a crescendo of noise, crackling instruments, crooning voices, and, of course, laughter mixed with liquor and smoke, turning everyone loose under dim lights. He wants a taste of the past mixed with the now. A revitalized version of something so familiar. Those notes make him ache in a good way these days with the new freedom of being able to dance with Bucky anywhere he wants rather than watching him from the sidelines yearning, wanting to be in any of those gals shoes. He's got the right music and the right partner now, so it's the right time to ask to dance.

a shrunkyclunks au where Bucky is a S.H.I.E.L.D agent who was part of the avengers because of his skills, problem is, he always worked alone and didn't't like this whole team initiative thing to begin with, he's just doing it because he caredabout the safety of the world. now with this new mission he had to work with Captain America and he hated every second of it!!

i have a million other things i should be making. including steve/bucky cuddles for smallnico. but instead i was thinking about her cold arm bucky headcanon, which THEN made me think about all of those times i have gotten my hands frozen to cars and ice cubes and ta-da! steve getting stuck to bucky and bucky unapologetically laughing his ass off at him

they prob go to sam’s because steve is convinced Sam wont make as much fun of him as teh other avengers. he is dead wrong.
