11 Apr. 2014: Stephen O'Malley and Aluk Todolo @ St. John on Bethnal Green (London UK)
Oluk Tolodo delivered an 1hour set. The first half of it was all about atmospheric mid-tempo dark soundscapes, whereas the second one was an ongoing fast blast beat with blistering guitar riffs on top. Proper black metal stuff.
Stephen O' Malley played for about an hour. Church's seats weren't enough to hold your body whenever O'Malley's strings were pulsating. Massive sound of wall that many did not stand for more than 10 minutes. Little before the end I heard someone screaming from the back of the cathedral.
Pros: best way to welcome Easter
Cons: Although sound was awesome, the slow parts of Oluk Tolodo did not sound well due to strange sound reverberations caused by the walls' structure.
