I think something the mechanisms fandom should think about is like, yeah Dr Carmilla did bad things. Even if it was not their intent to, can someone actually ethically consent to becoming immortal WHILE their body is in survival mode? But intent doesn't take away bad actions, and that doesn't even mean Dr Carmilla is bad. You can like her, I love her. But it's also important to say yes, these were bad actions. They recognize this, which is why there were no more mechanisms. Because she realized it wasn't really them, something was taken away. And they weren't really given a choice. Dr Carmilla isn't a bad or good person because people aren't "bad" or "good". Dr Carmilla is every action she's taken, every choice they've made, everything that's happened, every thought she's had. She's not bad or good. They just are.

Once Upon a Time in Space character designs!
Some notes:
Since the mechs themselves had a few Disney references (the seven survivor鈥檚 dwarf attributes, Adam, mentions of the sleeping beauty fairies, etc.) I didn鈥檛 feel quite as bad paying small homage to the Disney designs. I had a hard enough time finding enough to fit together without trying to block out Disney.
Music inspo: since a lot of the songs are based on sea shanties, and as the first album, it鈥檚 not a surprise this one has a pirate theme. I think the mechs started with a certain vibe and carried it over into the album.
The fashion style is meant to be a mix of Middle Ages (the fairy tales) and 1500s (pirate theme).

Guys I miss narratomancy. Being into media without narratomancy is hard. Like okay with mechs an understanding of narratomancy is fundamental for understanding the mechanics of the universe but it is so wildly applicable to media at large. What do you mean in other universes justification matters. Is for the bit of the narrative not enough for you
