Web Information Formats
Aye, It’s ya boi here back at you with these super interesting blog posts, totally not copy and pasted from wikipedia
Webpages
Alright, first of all, a Website is a collection of related web pages, most of the time including multimedia content like videos and images, most of them are identified with a domain name, and published in at least 1 web server. Some examples are google.com, youtube.com or the platform that I’m using to write this, tumblr.com
Web pages are mostly used to show and share information, For example, in news pages like the BBC news, information about what’s happening is shown so people can easily access it and read what written on the post. Information or archives can be easily shared everywhere pretty much, Like on Any social media, Discord, Gmail/Outlook, MEGA, Dropbox, etc.
Most Webpages can be easily accessed by just clicking a link, but there are some of them that require you register on their page to access the information within the Webpage, or some of them are just private, like on Patreon (You have to pay to access most of the photos and content on that page)
Social Media
Social media are interactive webpages that facilitate the creation and sharing of information between users all around the world via virtual communities and networks.
Social media like Facebook, Twitter, Discord, etc. allow their users to communicate between each other, wherever they are, and whenever they want. This creates communities and groups that share information within the groups and communities to create friendships or just to share opinions.
To access social media most of the time an email is required and a password too, Webpages like Patreon ask you to insert a credit card number (this being optional most of the time) to be able to comment on some people’s posts and to see what they post.
Document Store
Document store webpages are, well, pages that let you store your information in them, like MEGA, or the cloud storage that consoles use. The purpose of this pages is to let users simply store information, making this a viable option when your device is almost full. For example, It’s like when you ps4 is full of games, but you don’t want to delete one because you’ll lose your save data, thats where cloud storage comes in, you can delete the game but keep your save files on the cloud, being able to download them later

Internet Access
Dial-up
The Dial-up internet access was created in 1979, this used the facilities of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a connection to an internet service provider by dialing a telephone number on a conventional telephone line. The user’s computer/router uses a modem to encode and decode information into and from audio frequency signals.
Connection type: UTP
Speed: 56 kbit/s
Uses:
Mobile phones
Broadband
Broadband could have 2 definitions:
In telecommunications, broadband is wide bandwidth data transmission which transports multiple signals and traffic types. The medium for this data to be transported could be coaxial cable (Which is also used for televisions), optical fiber (which uses light to transport data) and Twisted pair (UTP which stands for Unshielded twisted pair and STP which stands for Shielded twisted pair).
However, for internet access broadband is used to mean any high-speed internet access that is always on and faster tan dial-up.
Connection type: Optic fibre, UTP and STP, Coaxial cable
Uses: Broadband is pretty much used by everyone nowadays, but it would be especially useful in large business where everything is done by computer, with this I mean that the better the broadband connection, the faster things will get sent.
Speed: In the speed test people usually get around 40 mbps, it may variate depending on the internet provider
Fixed wireless

Legal and Ethical Issues
Hacking
Link: https://thehackernews.com/2017/12/keyboard-data-breach.html
This article is about a keyboard app for both Android and iOS called ai.type, this app lets you customize and personalize your on-screen keyboard either on mobile phones or tablets.
Because a database was misconfigured, the 577 GB of data that the application gathered since 2010 was completely exposed, exposing sensitive information like credit card numbers, addresses and private conversations. they leaked over 31 million users data (Including IP address, Mobile network name, their mobile version, etc.)
In my opinion the creators should deal with the charges for revealing over 31 million users data.
Hacking should be illegal for this like this, a lot of information can be filtered just in seconds if it isn’t well protected, things like Credit card numbers, confidential information (Like NSA).
Copyright
Link: http://www.esportsinsider.com/2017/11/lyon-faces-fine/
This article is about a Mexican ESports team that faced legal problems because they didn’t own the name of their team.
The company Riot games was notified of this by a third-party, as soon as Riot games was notified about this they took legal charges.
The ex-called Lyon Gaming faced a 12,500$ (£9,490) fine but they weren’t excluded from competitive events, they’ll be back in acting in early 2018, in the meantime they can still transfer players under the rules of the LLN (Latin America north League).
In my opinion the £9,490 sue was perfectly fine, It was their own fault because they knew that the name and logo of Lyon gaming wasn’t theirs.
Data Protection
Link: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/dec/01/morrisons-liable-staff-data-leak-landmark-decision
This article is about a former Morrison’s employee that exposed the information of nearly 100,000 members of staff.
In 2014, Andrew Skelton leaked the information of nearly 100,000 members of staff, what happened was that the staff sued morrison’s for this incident and Andrew Skelton has to face 8 years of prison for this.
I think that it’s fair that Andrew has to face 8 years of prison, he revealed things such as Phone numbers, Addresses and Credit card numbers

The Impact of IT on Employment
Typing via PC’s
Advantages: Takes way less time to write an article or a letter in a Pc, you can send messages, letters or articles in under 5 minutes by just pressing a single button, If you own a business you won’t need many employees to write articles for you, and, because you can simply check what’s wrong in the text, you won’t waste many resources (Like paper or ink)
Disadvantages: Because a single person can do the job of hundreds of person in under five minutes, there are less jobs than before in this field of work, also, If there are problems with the electricity, you can be risking to lose all of your work.
Mining
Advantages: Because one machine can do what 10 men's will do under an hour, It is way faster to use machines instead of human handwork, It is way less risky if a machine does the heavy work in a mine, because no-one would be risking his life for some ores. Also, It is way more efficient if machines are used in mines, they are capable of collecting more ores than humans without damaging them.
Disadvantages: Because of the machines taking over the mines, less and less people are working on the mines, leading entire towns to run out of jobs (If that’s their only income).
Shopping
Advantages: Some shops nowadays are controlled mostly by machines, you just need to search for the products that you need and scan them in a machine and then proceed to pay, as simple as that. Because of the many machines that are on the shop, many people can pay and go without having to stand in a long queue waiting to be attended
Disadvantages: Not having employees around to supervise the people may be a problem, without any supervision shoplifters will have it really easy to steal whatever they want, and,, if the shop is run by machines, we will start having less and less contact with humans, which will lead us to a point where we don’t have contact with other humans.
Car Manufacture
Advantages: Cars being made by machines will increase the efficiency, speed and the production of the cars, making it way more easier to create a car. Instead of needing a couple of people to make a car, we will only need a programmer that creates a code for the machines to work properly
Disadvantages: If machines take over the car industry, hundreds of mechanics will lose their jobs, probably leading them to a crisis because the job that they studied for was taken by machines.
Surgery
Advantages: If surgery is done by machines, it is way safer because they will be more precise than humans, no sweaty or shaky hands anymore. Also, if the patient is infected with something very contagious (Like Ebola) Doctors won’t be risking their lives while operating the patient, because the machines will take care of the infected person under a safe room.
Disadvantages: If something goes wrong during the operations (Like the machine switching off, or having some sort of problem with their engine) it would be lethal for the patient, risking his life or simply leaving the patient unattended while the problem is fixed.

Vomit-Inducing Flashlight
A more peaceful way for stopping criminals, with a few problems, of course.
Advantages: Basically, It’s a more peaceful way to arrest criminals or just to capture wanted people (Like thieves, kidnappers, etc.). It could also help sick people by inducing them to vomit, which could leading them to vomit what is making them sick from their stomach.
Disadvantages: It could be easily mistaken for a normal Flashlight, which could lead to a not-so-bad disaster, just imagine a little kid running around with a Vomit-inducing Flashlight without knowing that it is actually dangerous, it could be kinda funny but also damaging if it's used in the same person over and over.
Invisibility Cloak
Let’s you be real-life Harry potter!
Advantages: If in the rights hands, it could be used to infiltrate into enemy bases and retrieve information from them about terrorist plans or other evil stuff.
Disadvantages: It could end in the hands of a criminal, which would make him technically undetectable, making stealing and assassinating a little game for criminals.
Immortality
Being able to live forever with a few advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages: You would be able to see your family grow through the years, being able to meet your descendants and also being able to see what the future has for us.
Disadvantages: Because you don’t age, you will see slowly how all of your friends and family die, leaving you alone in this world, also, if you are young and also Immortal, you would be stuck in that age forever.

IT and the individual
How we spend our time
Positive: Gaming is a good way to spend our time, it improves our hand-eye, our reacting time, Also, we could be doing productive stuff while in the internet, like learning a new language, playing with friends, or just simply watching videos for own entertainment.
Negative: Often we can get distracted by the things that we find in the internet, like spending hours watching videos on youtube or simply just playing games, always using the typical excuses: “One more video” “One more level”
How we learn
Positive: There are various ways how we can learn nowadays, like learning new languages, interacting with people of different nationalities and playing games focused on our learning (Like the sites made specifically for maths games or English games)
Negative: Because of the many sites that are there on the internet, most of the times we could end up getting information that isn’t real, Also the teachers have to change their ways of learning because of the amount of information that the students can find on the internet
How we exercise/Our health
Positive: There are many things related to IT that can help us to exercise, like some games (Xbox, Wii and Playstation), Videos to help us with some really useful exercise routines, A long range of diets to helps us with our health or just eating healthy
Negative: Most of the people spend many more hours in front of a computer than in doing exercise, which could lead them to be chubby or just start deteriorating their health in general. Also, if we spend many hours in front of a pc we could start getting eye-strain which could lead us to having problems with out eyes in the future.
How we Interact
Positive: Because most of the people is connected to the internet nowadays, It is really easy to make friends worldwide or just interact with people that you already know. Because of this we can easily share our knowledge with the people around the world, while learning new things as well.
Negative: The most negative thing about interacting online is the cyberbullying, because no most of the people won’t see the other person in their life, they feel like having the right to mistreat or just insult someone. And because the internet is taking over us since it was available for us to use, we tend to pay more attention to the things happening on the internet than what happens in real life.
