The scheme also envisages 50,000 Grid-connected tube-wells/lift irrigation and drinking water projects.Modi also said the government’s pet schemes including Ujjwala Yojana and Saubhagya Yojana are helping India ensure the benefits of development reach to the poor through cooking gas connections and electricity connections. The Ujjwala Yojana was launched in April 2016 and aims at providing 5 crore free LPG connections to poor families by April 2019.
