In general i do feel that TMEs are too comfortable with offering completely unhelpful and unwanted commentary on trans womanhood and transfemininity to the point where i can't even assume the intent is anything other than to make us the butt of yet another weird internet joke but I really wish they would drop that "stop expecting to look like an anime girl you're going to look like your mother" line. Or whatever the exact wording of that is.

First of all i can't reasonably conceive that this is made from being around and knowing trans women irl. It sounds like some kind of half baked niche stereotype concocted from not even at least knowing any trans women online but just from encountering them in passing and not understanding them.
