YZR500 - 001
This ex-works 1991 YZR 500 was provided to one of the first satellite GP teams, run by Joe Millar, in 1992. Eddie Laycock was the initially the rider (and finished the season in 12th position) but then Jeremy McWilliams took over for the ‘93-'95 seasons. The bike was upgraded with a 'big-bang’ engine and new bodywork with ram air intakes during '94 or '95. A second Millar bike is in a museum in Ireland. Photographed in San Francisco, CA. 2015. Dave Crussell collection.
