HIATUS

As I’m having trouble with Kim rn (this blog’s mainblog) I’m shutting Juleka down. Whether or not she’ll come back up I’m not sure. Sorry to those who were waiting for replies/wanted to rp with me but I need to get back on my feet here

“Rose always wants to hang out with people, so she won’t mind.” That part was true at least. Now the question was, would Juleka be up for it? Social interaction.....wasn’t her thing. She found it difficult and tiring, even with Rose sometimes. But....But not alot of people actually asked to hang out before.

“I wouldn’t mind either, I guess.” She said with a small shrug.

“It’s….It’s not a big deal or anything-” She said with a wave of her hand. “Just…not alot of people know.” She figured it would’ve been obvious, then the more time she spent in school the more she realized that school subjects never really touched on her condition - most probably just went with stereotypes of what an albino was (if they knew what one was at all).

At the question of Rose, Juleka blinks before giving a small smile and walking down the stairs to Marinette’s desk. It was easier if you didn’t have to talk across the room right? “It’s fine. But yeah, she’s my best friend. We’ve known eachother for years.”

“It’s---It’s fine.....just not alot of people have asked me about it--” Normally because they didn’t notice her as a whole, but that was besides the point. “I’m--I’m Juleka. Juleka Riopelle. It’s nice--...to meet you too.”

“This? Oh, um–” Juleka pulls her hand close to herself, looking at her small mirror. “It–It was a present from my grandmother and my parents. Apparently my grandfather gave my grandmother a mirror like this when he proposed since he didn’t have enough money for a ring.”

Sorry I haven’t been over here, been focusing on a mainblog that wasn’t connected to this sideblog.

I’ll definitely try to be over here friday, which is my next day off from work.

☠ Headcanon : feeling invisible

Despite coming from a loving family, Juleka has been harboring the feeling of feeling invisible for awhile. Yes, her parents seem to spoil her - but the gifts of makeup and clothes are mostly apologies for not being able to spend quality time with her as much as they used to when she was younger. Their jobs require most of their time and attention so Juleka has sometimes felt like she was put on the backburner by them. With their grandmother living with them, she figured at least one person would notice her more often, but with her grandmothers health on the decline Juleka hasn’t been able to spend as much time with her as she would want. And sometimes it seems that her grandmother has a hard time remembering her name (not to mention her grandmother doesn’t approve of her state of dress/appearance so some conversations have been turning awkward anyways). Then there’s everyone at school, besides Rose she doesn’t really talk to anyone else.(Ivan on occasion but she wouldn’t call them close friends). She has a hard time making friends and some people just won’t approach her because of how she dresses or because of how quiet she is.

 She’s gotten used to fading into the wallpaper, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t overwhelm her sometimes. Never having a good picture being taken of her doesn’t help her feelings either.
