Also very frustrating as a show producer in certain cultural arts when you are trying to advertise tge show and people feel like they're not allowed to come because theyre not from the culture.

Please come to the drag show even if youre cishet.

Please come to the bellydance showcase even if youre not Middle Eastern.

Please come to the Asian Festival if youre not Asian.

Please dance at the drum circle if youre not African.

If the event is being publicly advertised, you're invited. We want you to come if you intend to come respectfully. If you are asking 'am I allowed,' youre probably bot gonna be disrespectful. Please fill the seats. Cultural events have trouble with attendance sometimes because people who would be curious to go get shy about it. Please go to things that are curious to you. Your presence is not a burden.

I have yet to be kicked out of anything (unless you count the bathroom at a gas station that one time.)

Racism in the plural community is a real problem. Racism in the medical community is a real, dangerous problem.

Pour one out for DID/OSDD systems of color that go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed because the psychiatric institution dismisses them.

Pour one out for all systems of color who feel isolated because the online community often conflates plurality with whiteness.

Pour one out for systems of color who get called racist or appropriative because their systems incorporate aspects of their own culture, but people automatically assume they must be white.

Pour one out for systems of color whose voices are silenced because of their ethnicity.

Uplift non-white systems. Talk to non-white systems, not over them.

you gotta realize that a lot of regressive and right wing groups besides TERFS will co-opt feminist language to undo victories of sex and gender liberation. a lot of them say things like "we need to protect women" to mean "we need to control women". they conflate sexual freedom with misogyny and all expression besides straight tradwifeism as abuse

so when I see a radfem who thinks themselves to be extreme left, you often see that they've gone full circle and they're at the right again, preaching evangelical views about how all men are predatory so it's up to women to be modest and demure to protect themselves or how trans men would be happier and more enlightened if they just embraced their divine femininity. these are just sexist and regressive views dressed up in a costume of feminism.
