adrenaline junkie. loves amusement parks & rollercoasters, even if 9 times out of 10 he manages to get motion sickness at some point.

a pretty good artist, & not just when it comes to graffiti. used to humor the possibility of being a comic book writer / artist & creating stories where the misunderstood bad guy beats up everyone & gets a happy ending. always figured that in the end, that was a stupid idea.

has a few scars here & there from his various misadventures ; the most notable being a stab wound on the side of his stomach from a mugging gone wrong. if you ask him abt it, he’ll say he fought a bear & won.

bass is the instrument he’s most comfortable with & was the first instrument he ever learned how to play, but he can also play the guitar & drums.

taught himself how to drive. does he have a license ? none of your business.

addition that i thought of as soon as i posted this : his preferred mode of transportation ? his motorcycle. it’s definitely a good idea to let him drive you around. he wants to.

hi im once again getting emotional over ace's lost potential & the life he could have lived. in multiple episodes, he is shown to not only enjoy basketball, but to be good at it, too. he has a competitive spirit & enjoys games. imagine how well he could have done had he gone to school & joined a sports team. imagine the community & sense of purpose he could've had.

he's also an incredible actor ( though mostly to manipulate & get what he wants ). he could have joined a theatre group. we already know he's musically inclined, he could've played in the school's band or started his own. he's charming & charismatic when he isn't being an ass about it -- think of the friends & connections he could have made.

but they're all "what ifs" & "could have beens" & "had things been different". but they weren't different. & he played the cards he was dealt in the only way he knew how.

more lil hc’s i have that are inconsequential but rattle in my brain anyway :

the first song ace ever learned how to play on the bass was ‘iris’ by the goo goo dolls

he either wears skinny jeans that are too tight, or bell bottoms. unfortunately, there’s no in between.

he writes his own songs / lyrics but never shows them to anyone. he’d be horrified if they were ever found, but would do his best to brush it off like he doesn’t mind.

tossed between foster parents until finally running away. none seemed to like him very much. definitely betrayed by the system that was supposed to help.

likes his fruity alcoholic beverages. used to cheap beer, but if he can have his choice ? extra strong shirley temple.

gave himself at home piercings as a teenager. don’t be like him.

it didn't hurt to keep an eye out on any other superpowered weirdos that managed to crop up every so often in this town. ace learned early that they were either friend or foe, with very little wiggle room to operate in the middle. & maybe he was born at night, but he wasn't born last night -- that patch of ground below her feet was as barren & dry as snake's sense of humor one moment, & the next she was delicately tracing lines along the petals of several flowers. he doubted she was much of a threat ( " what, ya gonna throw some pollen at me an' make me sneeze real bad ? " ) but it didn't hurt for him to stay vigilant. that kept him alive.
