Brown eyes gazed away from the blonde as her shoulders lifted, dropping again in a shrug - she placed her finger on the page sliding over it for a moment, she thumbed on the page for a moment, then flipped it to the very end of it, pointing at doodles on the last page.

She sighed as she glanced back to doodles of a plate filled with ramen, giving him a concerned look.

As if on cue, a rumble came to her stomach, causing the girl to place a hand over it, making an unsatisified face, following by her cheek leaning on his desk.

With a smile as wide as possible, Emi held a box in front of Aizawa’s face, wiggling it for a moment before handing it to him “you know what day it is yeah?” Hopping he wouldn’t reject it, Emi’s smile relaxed for a moment, nerves taking over ever so slightly. “I like you, lets date!”

He knew what the day was and even though he did, that didn’t mean he was ready for it. Nemuri was nearly insufferable, singing whatever love song she could as she floated from classroom to classroom. When she had struck his class, they had been unable to settle back down. Even Bakugou had been swept up into the mess and he’d just let the kids go back to the dorm without any fuss. His head was pounding as he retreated to his apartment. 

Having Emi visit, he thought his headache would get worse but her smile didn’t have that effect. He’d let her in silent and took the offered box. They would probably be joke chocolates but he didn’t even mind that. After the day of crazy he had, seeing her smiling face had been… normal. It was expected. It was nice. 

“Okay.” The question registered in his mind and he didn’t even pause this time. Normally he’d answer no. Reject her and listen to her laugh as he shook his head at her ridiculousness. He liked her laugh, even if he never would admit it to her. He liked seeing her smile. She didn’t give him a headache like the rest of the people around him did. She was… she was right. 

“But you have to promise me one thing. No matter how deep I get in the darkness. How bad I sulk. You’re gonna be there to smile and laugh and tell me I’m stupid for it. That you’ll pull me back no matter how bad it’ll get, and it will get bad. I can’t promise I’m going to be the happy go lucky boyfriend. I probably won’t be lovey dovey and sickeningly sweet… but I… I’ll try Emi. I will…”
