Quite simple to perform a long-standing musical instrument made of wood and birch bark. It has 3 holes for the fingers and a tongue that makes the sound squeaky but with the ability to change the tone. It looks like the Vuvuzela that are used today at football matches - Maybe during the knightly battles too, there was also some kind of Vuvuzela and smoke bombs?

medieval long bow
Once I was at a big medieval festival - a reenactment of the Battle of Agincourt. And for the first time, I saw the BOW EXPLODING!It was a typical English longbow made simple and historical, but it was not symmetrical, and had many protrusions and veins. I think this is exactly what they looked like in the 14th century on English shooters. And now, near the counter where they were sold, one buyer, having decided to check the tension force, stretches this bow and it just explodes in his hands into small chips (almost the same as in the photo) . It's good that no one was hurt. But the seller was a little upset that he lost the goods for 250 dollars ....

Medieval Badge "Bag with  3 Phallus"
Medieval replica Badge "Bag with Phalos". We have recreated it in great detail. Brass Pilligrim badge with pin, now available in gold or silver plated. In my little history shop on Etsy.
I have read a lot of historical reports regarding this badge. But nowhere is there an explanation why there are exactly three of them in the bag ?!
