Ghostland This movie was so gross to me because there was zero point to it other than making a movie about two teenage girls getting tortured. It started off strong when it came to telling a story and setting scenery. However, nothing can make up for basically an hour and a half of two teenage girls getting tortured and SA'd. Not to mention the obvious transphobia and ableism that was also involved in this movie. Such brilliant ideas introduced in this movie were clouded by the need to shock. Although I did not enjoy this movie, the actresses were amazing and deserve so much credit for their roles. I will definitely love to see more from them later!

May (2002)

May is probably one of the top four movies I have ever watched. This movie has such an awkward and tense feeling that it makes you want to pull out your hair. Then there are scenes where you can't help to laugh, especially with Anna Faris. (Polly is my favorite character other than May) I like how the movie portrayed mental illness being passed from mother to daughter. This shows with May's perfectionism and other unlabeled illnesses, which was very relatable other than the literal Frankenstein shit. The characters all have such weird little things about them (Adam's film projects, Blank's Frankenstein tattoo, and Polly's deep trust in May) that made me feel like they were also the main characters. The vibe in the beginning almost reminded me of Dinner in America or some indie movie. I will be watching this on repeat or when I get dumped. :p
