Sorry I’m a little late…

So I picked the second option. I think Margo is all in her head when it comes to things like this, but she has to at least make sure he is still into her. So, she asks roundabout questions about new restaurants he has tried (to see if he’s been on dates back in Russia) or makes little comments (Aleida is trying to set her up with so-and-so). He thinks it’s just her making small talk, but he apparently makes the correct comments to ensure Margo that he is into her.

Secure that he is still interested in her, she decides for herself that she is going to take a chance when they get into the elevator. When he presses the button to his floor, he looks like he is just vibin’, his face almost passive as if waiting for her to press the button to her floor.

When he sees that she doesn’t, he takes his shot. (My man shooting his shot and nearly succeeding!! 🙌🏼)

There was some lovely discussion in the notes the last days about the elevator and 1991 and I need more of that. (also, i fixed my storage issue and can make gifs again!)

So, what do you think happened?

For option two, i'm thinking something like

"don’t want the evening to end yet" - "it doesn’t have to" and then not continuing that line of thought out loud. But please share other ideas in the notes!!

My own thoughts are that when in front of the elevator they look so nervous and like they do have a plan. Margo is very sure about calling in that elevator. But then she looks at the button as if she can't understand how she could miss her chance to press nr 5, while Sergei pretends to stand a reasonable distance from her. Or she is just overwhelmed by the deed being done, they are on their way to his room, no going back now. Somehow, Sergei does not seem too surprised at her inaction. Had he not been expecting this, surely he would have looked at her?

I have so many memories with listening to The Beach Boys; some from many years ago, some more recent. Brian Wilson was a genius!!

If you’ve never heard a Beach Boys song, start with their Pet Sounds album. It is truly wonderful!! 💖

Fun Fact: The Beach Boys were at one point bigger in popularity in England than the Beatles. When The Beach Boys went to England to promote Pet Sounds and tour, The Beatles were able to get a sneak peak. They fell in love with it and knew that their own album would never be able to compare.

Hmm… this is interesting…

My theory isn’t so much a deep dark secret… When Margo loves someone or something, she love it with her entire being. From NASA to tootsie rolls to Aleida to Sergei. It not always romantic or friendly love, it can be giving respect, no matter if they are a janitor (Octavio) or the president (Ellen). To Margo, love is very much a verb.

If you cross paths with her, though, she will let you know real quick.

Fic number tag game

I was tagged by @youreorangeyoumoron. I'm sorry it took me a little longer to do this.

Rules: give us the links to your fic with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the least words (feel free to interpret however you would like; if not on AO3, can be on Tumblr or FFNET!).

I'm choosing to only use the fics I published on AO3. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on ff.net. I don’t even remember my password. A lot of these ended up being the same story, so I changed it so that each section is a different fandom. 

Most hits (Star Trek Voyager): Temptation - Janeway, Chakotay, and an alien orgy. That’s it. That’s the premise of the story. There are some feelings, too.

Second most kudos (Call the Midwife): The Nun - An AU where Shelagh, a prostitute known as The Nun, meets and falls in love with Dr. Patrick Turner. This story was over a year and a half in the making. It's what really got me in writing AUs. I wish I could finish the sequel, but I think the time for that has come and gone.

Third most comments (For All Mankind): Amsterdam - I loved this one so much! Instead of the Americans and Soviets meeting in Houston, they meet in Amsterdam. It is there Margo really gets to know Sergei before knowing that he is the lead engineer for the Soviets. 

Fourth most bookmarks (Gilded Age, Stargate SG-1, 9-1-1, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel): A Conspiring Universe (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) -  It’s my guess on how Rose and Abe could have met in the 1920s. They are so dang cute together, their relationship, fascinating! I actually had a lot more written, but I could not finish the story, so I posted up to a good stopping point. 

Fifth most words (Gilded Age, Stargate SG-1, 9-1-1, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel): Secrets (Gilded Age) - This was originally going to be about a secret relationship between Luke and Ada, but it turned into more of a character exploration for Ada. With the new season coming out soon, I hope we learn more about her and Agnes' past. 

Fic with the least words (all): Merry and Bright (Call the Midwife) - Genuinely, this is crack cocaine. It was meant to be a silly version of how Patrick and Shelagh spent their first Christmas together. The first 2 chapters equal 111 words. The third is a sneak peek to The Wife, which was a sequel to The Nun.

Skygazing 🌤️

A while back I shared a hypothetical "stargazing series" (one of my personal all-time favorite artworks) and as I was going through my files I realized that I had never shared the daylight/sunset versions of the same! As much as I like the stargazing moonlight effects, it's also fun to see the bright colors, so here they are!
