British Airways has halted air travel to Hong Kong following claims that many of its crew members are being held in quarantine at a government facility.

Flights have been temporarily halted "as we review operational requirements for this route," according to BA. According to the South China Morning Post, one BA employee screened positive for Covid, prompting the quarantine of the entire crew. On November 20, a BA crew member came back positive for the virus in that situation. The employee and some other crew members were quarantined in Hong Kong's Penny's Bay quarantine centre as "close contact."
