hello anon! thank you so much for your generous compliments about my writing, it really means a lot to me 😭💕the 7th chapter of What Remains is actually at 9.7k words right now, but i'm imagining it will need at least another 10k for the chapter events to wrap up. i've been very much neglecting it since i last updated last year, but i've been super busy with various other projects and obligations gsdfjgjkgj however, i still really love the story and would desperately like to release a new chapter this year, i'm endlessly grateful that people still read my writing and look forward to new releases despite my chronically late release times! 🙈

if it's any comfort, i have basically all three arcs of What Remains plotted out- it's really a matter of turning drafts into prose! but who knows, maybe after i graduate school i'll have a wealth of time and energy to wrap up this story that i've already put so much into hhahaha

thank you very much! i put a lot of stock into my lineart so i'm flattered you like it 😚i own a Huion GT-191 and an ipad 10.2. on my huion + clip studio setup i use a combination of tapered inking pens and soft rounded pens, but most importantly i curve my pressure to look like this:

i find that this is what helps me the most to gain precise control over my line weight and size. i set my stabilizations depending on the brush, so it varies between 0-10 according to how uniform or tapered the brush is.

on ipad + procreate i have a fairly high stabilization to account for the naturally more jittery register of the apple pen, so it's around 10-20, and i mainly use the default soft airbrush set to a very small size for my inking pen.

there's a lot more to lineart besides the technical aspects of digital art, but i'm thinking i should save that for another post about principles of flow and tension! thank you for the kind words anon <3
