i think even tho you think your gallery looks uninspiring just bc you draw the same character often, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're stagnating. Each piece shows him in different perspectives, different poses, different moods, different lighting, and it does certainly take a good deal of time and effort to create each unique piece from a blank state. so you're practicing a whole bunch of different skills each time.

Just like when a person first starts drawing, they might draw the same thing again and again, and it doesn't look quite right yet but it gets better each time. I think that's one of the good things about sticking to one subject bc by studying this character, you get better each time. it's just harder to see your improvements now bc you're at a much more advanced level. but i'd bet if you look back on your first ever ghost doodle you'd see some difference. whether you have a better grasp on how to do his equipment, or how to draw a mask on someone, or even on his mood and mentality and expressions, that all indicates that you have a better grasp on the character himself and how to capture him on your canvas.

in understanding this character so well, i think you'd be better able to draw him in wackier situations and still make it look realistic, still make it look like it's still simon in that fluffy onesie, or it's still simon struggling to do random weird yoga poses. you can draw him in that one baby girl pose and it still looks like him. i think that's something that can be difficult for a person (i.e. me) to capture if they don't know the character well enough. i can put the character in the pose, but it's difficult to make it look like them.

I hope you dont mind that you take up a good deal of my saved art inspo pics. I love how clean your art is, even the ones that look like they're rougher sketches. i love that you seem to have a really good understanding of how clothing works, how it wrinkles and creases and stretches, how it sits on a person. I love how you can depict different materials, bc not all materials reflect light the same way, but it's really hard (for me) to capture that difference.

all that to say, growth looks like stagnation if you zoom in too close.

don't forget to take breaks and stretch once in a while, and sit up straight!

If I could pair someone from COD with an Avenger I will go with Ghost/Bucky.

Imagine the simp Simon will be for the Winter Soldier. He will try his usual "hide in the shadows to spy on others" technique, but Bucky will ALWAYS turn in his direction.

And none of them will break the staring first.

They are even more funny at the bar. Both men standing at the bar, drinking in silence, staring at whoever walks through the bar front doors, creeping the hell out of everyone.

There will be a point in which they will speak to each other. It usually starts with Ghost telling a dad joke and Bucky laughing his ass off.

Lots of night insomnia conversations, together with Price, who fills paperwork at 4am, because Soap decided to mix explosives in a mall bathroom (the impulsive thoughts have won) and got caught.

Both of them will be protective of each other, especially in the battlefield.
