charlie: i think an inherent flaw in her design ppl dont often change is her being a white woman which really affects the tone of the plot. instead of it being a privileged white woman saving the slums, i wanted her to read as a more down to earth humanitarian princess who isnt white. i also made her look like a goat bc from what i understand shes kinda supposed to be based on one? i also wanted her outfit to read hotel manager

vaggie: i find it weird and gross that the lesbian is named vagina so ideally id like her to have another name. ive seen ppl call her aggie/agatha and i think thats wayyyyy better. anyways i wanted her to be butch + alt since shes like rebelling against a gross misogynist. shes also bluer to show that shes not originally a demon but she has red tones to show her connection to hell. also her and charlie have each others colors to show their connection. ideally these two would fuck nasty instead of having a weird chaste relationship while the men get to have explicit gay sex

angel dust: i hate angel dust so fucking much so this one was hard for me. i wanted him to look more 1940s but also slutty so his outfit is based on mobster clothes from the time but also is tearaway. i imagine hed be significantly less grating and hed still be a sex worker but this time his trauma would be handled normally

alastor: uh yeah i had to throw out 95% of his inspirations since. yknow. the significant racism and disrespect inherent to the multiple things hes based on. anyways i leaned into 1930s radio hosts and radios themselves, but also made him based on an alligator since hes supposed to be from louisiana i think. also he doesnt have that bullshit bob undercut thing bc hes a black man in the 1930s

overall i wanted to make their colors different but i tied them together w the red to show theyre all united w the hotel. i also wanted the designs to be less cluttered and more animation friendly. um yeah i think thats everything please dont harrass me. also please dont repost these anywhere the last thing i need is ppl finding it without context
