as shitty as work is at the minute (i am being made to teach classes on subjects i'm not qualified in for students i don't know and who are bastards 🫡) there have been some high moments ... one of my students has started reading novels under the desk during lessons and i refuse to tell her off, because i used to do exactly the same thing at her age 🥲 and also another student came up to me in the corridor and said 'can i read you my war poem?' and read me a 5 minute long poem in metre that was better than i'd heard my fellow final year cw students write at university.

my students are so lovely. let me fucking teach them english literature, and stop making me teach science or maths lessons to random 15yr olds years who aren't special needs but DO have behaviour problems as a first year special needs teacher.
