I don’t see the need to make turning a year older into such a big deal. But, maybe that’s just the old man in me. ” Shoulders lift then, upwards before falling back into their original slack place. Conversation spewing from simple words, though mostly out of his own opinion. As a young child, he’d grown accustom to those far off days alone, it wasn’t any big deal, really.

Out of anything, he still pondered over something .. “Is your birthday soon, then? Or were you speaking in general? To be clear. ”

❝ Hm. I see what you mean there. ❞ He did make perfect sense; why would you celebrate a day of you turning old, every year? There wasn’t really much sense in that, she realized.  ❝ Maybe it’s congratulating one for being closer to one’s death bed... who knows? ❞  she asks, a lopsided grin appearing on her face.  ❝ my birthday? ❞ she tilted her head. ❝ My birthday isn’t until... ❞ she mentally counted.
