better call saul is the funniest show ever because the b plot will be: cartel shootout!!! nacho is bleeding out in the desert!!! will gus avenge his lover's murder at last?!?! and the a plot is: jimmy has a job interview. at the printer store.

one of the reasons i love alex is that she's allowed to be angry. and she's allowed to fucking weird and mean and she's allowed to scream and be unhinged and she doesn't care! she says whatever she wants whenever she wants! she takes the piss! and she's also allowed to be so fucking annoying!!!! she's the blueprint for how you can write female characters in a male dominated narrative (though she is the main character) and the men around her frankly do Not Get It. but she's still respected by the SHOW and the narrative. she's respected by the writers. so that means when the men around her are confused by her, we as the viewers are not and we are never alienated from her. keeley hawes is so vibrant and electric when you watch this show. god.
