Lords Folly - Part 1 - The Adventure Begins

In a land, not far from your own, but still out of your reach, are a group of adventurers. This group of adventurers has traveled throughout the lands of Wythrin, fighting many a beast and bandit to get to where they’re going. They have finally made it to the town of Dishum, a large trading town in between all the kingdoms of Wythrin that’s known widely for it’s export of potions and tonics. Their main mission is to find ancient treasures across the land, and discover the truth of their lords death. Darren, an expert human fighter and leader of this group, found an inn that would take them in for an exceptional price, and give them each a room. In total there are five adventurers in the group, each, of course, with their own special set of abilities. The second member is their trusty wood elf tracker, Va'kein, from the forest tribe known as “The Seekers of Rivers and Tracks”. Their third member, Faregar, is a dwarvish blacksmith who deals with the managing of weapons and armor, particularly with keeping them up to his crazy standard of repair and polishing. But if Faregar is caught in a fight, don’t you dare doubt that his dwarven rage won’t stop his enemies in their tracks. The resident sorceress of this group is a High Elven woman by the name of Shava, whose magical power is well known within the Elven colleges of Magic, and has been tested many times in battle to prove her arcane skill. Lastly we have Karava, a Half - Orc bard who joined in on this adventure at the last minute, hoping to capture the story of a life time…and get her hands on some gold as well. Now the adventurers are down in the lobby area of the inn, planning their next move after they spend their time in Dishum.

Darren came down into the lobby, looking perplexed as he watched his little group do their own things in the lobby. The lobby was a fairly sized living room, with booths across the side of the wall. Next to those booths in the middle of the room were some arm chairs and a hearth, for those who were wanting to sit in something more comfortable than the booths, or if they needed to warm up near the hearth. And finally to the left of those chairs was the bar, with stools of some various sizes for different patrons that would come in. Faregar, sitting on a bar stool, was ordering some dwarvish ale for the group. Va'Kein is checking the maps in the booth closest to the hearth, trying to discern where they are headed next, but also seeming quite confused. Shava is sitting across from Va'Kein, reading her arcane tomes, trying to find some new combination of spells to use in combat. Karava is sitting in one of the armchairs near the hearth, tuning her lute so that it’s ready for a great performance. Darren walks towards the booth Va'kein and Shava are sitting in, and says “Hey, Va'Kein, mind if you could scoot in so I can sit with you?”. “Sure, just… let me grab this… and this…” as Va'kein scrambles to gather all his mapping equipment to move it inwards on the table. Darren then smoothly sat into the booth, and he asks “So what route is best for getting to Tarlen?” “ Well, after we sell some of the chalices that we found in that old temple, and re-stock on potions, We’ll head through the South gate, taking the ‘Treaders Path’ till we hit the crossroads. Then…” and at that instant, a commotion broke out from Darrens right. As he turned, he saw a small group of cutthroats had surrounded Faregar. “What a’re ye doin lads?!” “We heard Lord Varrens men were in town, and wanted a peek at ya. Or should we say, Ex - men?”. Darren wasn’t sure about many things. But he was sure a fight was surely brewing…
