just like a casual psa: as a filipino born and raised in the philippines, nothing pisses me off more than my ethnicity being collectively called “filipinx” like. we are not latinxs whose language is gendered or whose language history has led to the use of “latinxs”. filipino is a gender neutral language. we don’t use “she” or “he” for pronouns, we simply use “siya”. we don’t use the words “wife” or “husband”, we simply use “asawa”. FILIPINO IS A GENDER NEUTRAL LANGUAGE. stop applying western standards to make up some new collective term for filipinos. our identity as a people is fucked enough as it is with colonial mentality. nobody from the philippines actually uses “filipinx” in reference to themselves. using “-x” as a suffix in an attempt to be gender neutral while referring to my ethnicity as a whole does more harm than good bc it makes it seem like my own language is not enough when it, in fact, is. why make up a new term under the guise of gender neutrality when the language itself is already gender neutral to begin with? it doesn’t make sense.

if you wanna identify as “filipinx” bc of diasporia, that’s cool. that’s for YOU. but all i ask is to not use it to collectively refer to my ethnicity as a whole. it feeds into the colonial mentality that is so ingrained in our culture, where many filipinos conform to western standards in everything, from language to fashion to beauty, and it needs to end. we don’t need westerners making it harder for us to embrace ourselves. it’s hard enough as it is.

back in 2015, tumblr made me start using “filipinx” to refer to my people under the guise of gender neutrality. this made me forget this small but significant part of my own culture. it made me forget my own language. thank god there were people who made me stop and think and get out of the western mentality that is so deeply ingrained in me by society. what i don’t understand is how this trend is still being used to this day.

just. please. it’s 2017. call us who we are: filipino.

He's not afraid of ghosts or spirits, the fact that he can see them in daily basis.

He's not afraid of ghosts or spirits, it's his job to exorcise them. Well he can tell that they were really not that scary as they can't hurt him.

He wasn't afraid of ghosts or spirits but for the first time, he's afraid to exorcise one spirit.

It doesn't look scary at all as it usually does. It's not even that strong and he can assume that he can exorcise it for a split second but he can't to.

He's heart starts beating fast. He knew why, it's because of fear. He's afraid to the spirit in front of him.

From the familiar back and posture and when the spirit turned around, he saw that familiar face but it's not wearing it's usual smug, or even his frown. The spirit's face is blank.

Ah yes, the face mask costs 5php before the ncov-19, I bought one last week for our experiment and it already costs 16 php.

I'm telling you week later or maybe days, all the prices of grocery will get 75% higher

It's kinda funny how everyone is just panic buying after the news came meanwhil, we never thought of buying 8 carts of grocery when we found out about it. My dad just told me to never go out of any places and he just bought one piece of alcohol.

Now that every grocery has limited stock of supplies I wonder how far we can survive this with just one piece of alcohol

I’m a disabled, remote worker. My job was going to fire all the remote workers this April, and we just got an extension for 6 months. Wonder why.

Funny how companies can find the means to let people work from home if they really want to.

Why do I have to pay some shit to have a project. We literally have to pay for a movie theater in school and the price is more expensive in the cinema ones. I rather watch it in a cool, big and dark cinema by myself than in our classroom. Why do we have to pay that expensive and why do they have to make it a project.

I want to write this but I don't have time. Here's the idea.

It's valentines and just how it usuallg is, Teru received a lot of chocolates. He can't eat them all obviously so he gave it to his friends which is his old delinquent suborsinates and the kids in awakening club.

He is supposed to save for himself so he can eat time to time he decided not to. It feels like he's accepting their feelings from eating it.

He's going back to his home after giving the chocolates when he met Mob. It's been a long time when the last time they meet. Both are busy in their cram schools. Teru invited Mob to some park to catch up with each other.

While talking, Mob grab a carton of milk from his bag.

"You still like them?" Mob didn't get him at first until he pointed out the carton.

"Oh, of course." He said. He inserted the straw and drink from it.

"But it's a surprise that you're drinking the chocolate flavor. Someone gave it to you?" It's a joke but he didn't want to hear Mob agreeing to it. The only thing he can do is smile like he usually does whenever Mob is around.

"Ah, no it's not. I brought this from convenience store earlier and they only sell chocolate milk. You know, to sell more." Mob answered.

"What a nice strategy." He chuckles and turns toward Mob. Mob is searching something from his bag until he found what he's looking for. It's another carton of choco milk.

"Another one? You're still not done." Teru said but then Mob ignored him and instead, he placed the carton between them.

"For you." Mob whispered. Teru didn't really know what to do, it's just bizzare for Mob to give him a carton of milk.

"Thanks I guess?" Mob nods and stand from his seat.

"I have to go now. See you soon." Mob didn't look back and hurriedly walk away. Teru doesn't really mind because he's been focusing in the thing beside him.

He takes the straw and drink from it.

"Not bad." He whispered while wearing a smug k his face. He know it doesn't really mean anything but there's no harm hoping that Mob gave it to him for valentines. He didn't want to finish it because it's only mean that he has to wake up from reality again.

Meanwhile, Reigen was startled from someone who slammed the door.

"Reigen-shishou?!" Mob's shouted while cathing his breath.

"You're back. Did you leave something?" Mob shaked his head.

"I did it!" At first, Reigen didn't understand what he meang until he remembers their conversation earlier. He told him those words earlier because he really didn't think that Mob will do it but,

"You gave chocolates to that blondie?!"
